"Brains are evenly distributed..."
as the morning weather indicates that high temperatures will reach 114 degrees south of here which is deadly to most mammals...heat exposure kills more people than floods, tornadoes and hurricanes combined...yesterday the air conditioning broke in the airport down south and the inside temperature went into the 80's quickly....when (not if) all of the electricity fails the death toll will be in the many thousands of people..i recently heard someone say that people can survive the heat better than the cold....that is wrong....i have slept in the van when it got down to 14 degrees below zero...clothing is plentiful and cheap...and effective in keeping the body temperature high enough to be survivable and comfortable...if the person is healthy...the old, the young, and the infirm will be the first to perish...i have spent the last 3 days and nights in a motel room to enjoy what conveniences are available...but today being my 71st birthday i will return to the forest to enjoy what nature can provide to the soul...i have viewed mostly music on youtube in the last three days....some of the more enjoyable presentations are..."War Pigs" with 6 year old Marco Hashemi on lead guitar...(screw ozzie hasbeeen!)...i would like to say that i have always sought to understand the popularity of frank zappa (died from prostate cancer) i agree with eric claptons view that his music is mostly un-listenable...zappa got a award (grammy?) for "Jazz From Hell" so I took the time to listen to the title track...which is equally un-listenable...in my view a tune like "Blackbird" or "Here comes the sun" is far more aesthetically pleasing than zappas pretentious drivel...Amanda Ventura has "The way" harmonica blues solo which is good and Ava Renn "Fortunate Son" (one of my favorite CCR tunes) is good, an entertaining presentation by Hillbilly Moon explosion "Johnny are you Gay?" is funny...The Cleverlys have several presentations of well known tunes in a bluegrass style... "Walk like an Egyptian" is good...Mike Nesmith got the first Grammy ever awarded for a video with his "Elephant Parts"...the drunks sitting at the bar scene is tragic more than funny however...one of the recent innovations on youtube is police body camera presentations...it is obvious that the marksmanship of most of these officers of the law is not very good...i picked up the entire third season of "Hill street blues" on DVD recently and the cops appear to be using 38 caliber handguns...I also picked up all six seasons of "the sopranos" for five bucks yesterday...i subscribed to Caolan Robertson "inside russia" who seems to think russia is on the skids...on a humorous note i found Drew Dunn comedy "Positive Stuff" (31 min} to be funny...

"To make a just state..."
felt bottomed sandals made for stealth in the woods....i bought two pairs for 3 bucks from the thrift store...fairly ineffective in the desert sands however....
got some very intellectually stimulating information this week from an interview with a mr. karl friston from university college london who has "free energy principal" which is still sort of vague to me...he was on a podcast from Hrvoje Kukina who is croatian i think...dr lex fridman also has an inteview with Friston from 5 years ago but this interview with Hrvoie is from a couple of weeks ago...there is so much information packed into this 41 minute presentation i recommend that you have pen and paper ready to take some reference notes...i wrote down at least a couple of dozen words and phrases that i needed to look up...i can see why dr. fridman was so enthusiastic about this mans work since it has to do with neural function and is very well suited to be used for programing a self driving vehicle which is work that dr. fridman does with tesla...if philosophy of mind described in mathematical terms is of interest to you this interview will delight you...and also enlighten you perhaps...i think Fristons explanation of consciousness is as good as any i have heard..."to seek evidence for your model of the world"...i was interested to hear that the public health service in england plans to implement gene mapping in all newborns...this may be resisted...but not by the infants...at the other end of the temporal spectrum i heard about a man in his 80s who shot and killed his wife who was in her 70's then he shot himself...they were said to have health problems which made them take this course of action...it is a damned shame that there are not better solutions to ending ones life than this rather crude method... i heard some people say that they were glad that the beautiful Nottoway plantation in south louisiana burned down since it was built by enslaved persons...as was the Acropolis, the Taj Mahal, the coliseum in rome...etc etc etc...i was excited about Deepseek r1 so i kept looking for information online and almost all the information was from 4 months ago...well it seems that the developer, the tech billionaire mr. liang wenfeng, has spent most of his fortune trying to enhance the abilities of his creation trying to have exclusive abilities...but without much success... there is a very good short biography of mr wenfeng on youtube...i see where playing chess is now a crime in Afghanistan...they should have dropped a few kinetic weapons on kabul as long as they were in the neighborhood...regime change is much needed to allow these authoritarian countries live in the 21st century...the citizens are mostly OK but the leadership is dismal at best...i have never spent any time in the city of lost angels but i figured if i ever got there i wanted to see the getty art museum and the la brea tar pits...i saw a fairly current tour of their facility at the tar pits which was quite good..."Inside the worlds most unusual fossil site- the la brea tar pits-featuring lindsay nikole" (ms. Nikole is largely absent from this presentation) unlike any other youtube presentation by the miniatureman and ms Nikole there was no cussing...and you could tell it put a cramp in their style... not to cast aspersions on this excellent presentation but i think i saw mr. miniature slip a dire wolf skull under his shirt and at one point he tried to push ms Nikole into the tar pit...he is another heinrich schleimann...mask of Agamemnon my butt...lets move on...! The sandals in the photo above are to illustrate how much footwear is available to society...as much as i respect marketplaces Kai his loathing of birkenstocks and now "snofers" may get him in trouble...the birkenstock people have long reach and may put a hit out on on him...those danes are from viking stock and can be formidable foes...i would like to recommend some music i really liked "The high-jivers" rendition of "Look what you've done to me"...good stuff!

"But the faithful do not invent..."
every time i look at this rock i think it was chipped by a much older culture than has yet been described in this part of the desert west...an experienced pre-history archaeologist might have a more educated idea
these images are from the desert a few month ago...right now i am dealing with the reality of my camera...i ran over it with my truck last week...i sort of went into shock...however if i take the memory card and put it in my D200 i can read the images but not enlarge them...ok i need to take deep breaths now...so the high temperature in the southern part of the state today will be near 116 degrees Fahrenheit...deadly...but it will be cooler in the higher elevations but the wind and heat will make the threat of fires much greater....i am sure glad that those ninnies who think there is climate change are not in charge...yeah right!...i just watched a Mr. Tavis Smiley being interviewed on c-span and he said "THEY MURDERED HIM"...speaking of the demise of mr george floyd....who is "THEY?" i believe there was only one white guy kneeling on his neck...not the whole white race...i am not going to celebrate Juneteenth today as i had no slaves or other servants...but i do hope those who want to remember the so called "emancipation" of the enslaved people will remember that it is kind of like the sign i have seen posted on the doors of some bars "FREE BEER TOMORROW"....tomorrow never comes...free your mind... one of the best interviews i have yet seen on youtube is by lex fridman of YUVAL NOAH HARARI...(where does he find all these Jewish intellectuals!) this man speaks intelligently about a number of subjects and is well worth the nearly 3 hour interview time...i watched it over several settings...i looked up a book review of kash patels tome "GOVERNMENT GANGSTERS"...if i can find the book used i will read it...but wtching the review i sort of get what it is he is complaining about...i looked up DEEP SEEK and there are only offerings from 4 month ago...was it a scam?......i need to pack up now and seek my way in the world...i will see a oncologist today and get a refill on my anti-testosterone meds. onward thru the fog!
