cartoon from new yorker magazine..."what, me worry!"mysterious large round rock pile....20 years old? 200 years old? 2000 years old...20,000 years old?
i think if there are foot-prints in the sand verified to be 23,000 years old those folks certainly must have passed through all the land to the west of that place...like here and down in the desert etc...since it has monsooned for the last week or so the meadows have much vegetation...the neighborhood ain't so great what with the neighbors threatening my life and such as that....durn their scurvy butts!...well next friday the road is supposed to be open again and i can go back to the antelope, deer, elk, porkypines and javalina... etc....spent much time being amazed by some of the youtube presentations...such as "1950's american underground:the art of eric stanton, bettie page and steve ditko"@ chaos ensues (20 min.) these cartoonists got charged with various crimes for drawing images of folks (mainly women) who were scantily clad and tied up with ropes etc etc etc...but for a more thickly clad person i see "itchy boots" has braved the remoteness of the gobi desert on her 1985 yamaha motorcycle and despite losing her license plate, dropping the bike in thick sand and it not starting, getting a flat tire...she is keeping on keeping on...and Milo (minder-bender rossi) has a one hour "critique" of "conservapedia"...he gets pretty riled up but he is accurate...he should probably hammer those drinks before he starts...and his friend and sometimes collaborator ms lindsay nikole has an interesting and well researched presentation "Stoners of the animal kingdom" (22min)...she alludes to partaking in a bit of herb herself but if she does (for the ambiance) she is the most articulate stoned person i have ever seen!...if you want some information about global affairs from a person who was up to his eyeballs in intelligence "An in depth interview with the late sir alex younger, the longest serving head of MI6 " @the economist (45min)he has some very well informed views about the global situation...he be dead now...something i had never heard of is "The Streisand effect explained' @georg rockall-schmidt (9min)....i laughed pretty damned hard at this less than scientific view...and i came across one of my favorite tunes "My baby just cares for me" by Florence Welch and Jools on piano (4min)...this is the best version i have seen...ms welch has perfect intonation, inflection, and she is pretty...she is not exposing any more skin than is needed...magnificent voice and Jools plays a hell of a piano....the person who got me interested in this particular song is Andrea Motis who does a great version but i would like to recommend her song "Babies" (the version that starts on the beach) (2 min) she sings and plays trumpet with some help from her baby...
"The really worst part about being 80 (years old) is that you find, at last you've got an understanding of something that might have altered everything in the past, had it come at a time when something could still be altered."Bob Dylan aka robert zimmerman from a quote in "the week" (6/26/26?) they got it from "the new york times...ain't that always the case!
