"Inclined as it..."

ok let's all try to get along....

ain't gonna happen...people have been whipped into a froth of angst and anger and animosity...nothing new under the sun...or in the shadows either...the soon to happen election for the head of the executive branch of the U.S. government as well as a myriad  of other elected officials all across the american nation...ain't it great...so many people around the world do not get the opportunity to vote for any representation in government...whereas allowing the people elected to serve office does not always come easy...

as for my own view of the governance of whatever place i happen to be living it is becoming increasingly apparent that democracy is like AA...it works if you work it....soooo...it seems as citizens of a democratic nation such as the USA we need to be vocal about what lengths we will go to stay democratic....when i hear the word "dictator" my first reflex is to say "assassination"...you see this nation has never required its citizens to bow, salute, or in any way appear less than anyone else...ain't it great!...one person...one vote...hooray!

yes , there are problems in any government...some people think it is time to "change"...some people think change by "force" is the only way...there is "persuasion" then "coercion" then "force" if i remember my 10th grade speech class correctly...however...forced change in government  is usually the result of "armed and forceful" people using "force of arms" to implement the changes sought...it never goes as planned...the "velvet revolution" in Czechoslovakia implemented change in government without bloodshed...when their elected leader (who was a playwright) got into government he realized that he was not qualified to administer government so he allowed the professional administrators to do what they do so well...run things..

to be more forthcoming my own observations indicate to me that change is needed not so much in government as in the way people orient themselves in the world...most people follow the course of least resistance and go about their daily lives in a way that does not make them think too much about the reality of what so called "civilization" has resulted in...you know the result...look at the news for a few minutes and you will observe a hell of a lot of discomfort for a hell of a lot of people... but as the snowflake said "i am not the cause of the avalanche."

that's about enough of my view of government, and the "human condition"...

"Inclined as it itself is to all extremes, a group can only be excited by an excessive stimulus. Anyone who wishes to produce an effect upon it needs no logical adjust in his arguments; he must exaggerate, and he must repeat the same thing again and again." Sigmund Freud

"Better be despised..."

i think the dog is Dagmar and the auto is a 1956 Pontiac Chieftain...the children live at the house

the weather report said the temps would only be 94 degrees but the truck thermometer says 100 degrees, now i have 40 pounds of ice so i should make it OK...the room i rented was 80 bucks number 19 with an excellent air conditioner and excellent refrigerator an old style dial operated microwave which worked well and a bath with a shower and a tub the soap was about as useful as a poker chip and the shampoo in the plastic package could wash the hair on a small hamster...not a large hamster however...the television and remote worked well but the stations were not very good but one c-span and some public stations also.. i asked about weekend rates and was told the rates were the same as week-day rates...the neon lights were out on the sign but the ones that were lit said HACIEN...i think the others might have be DA...right there on the main drag in town...

the fellow at the place i had stayed in flagstaff raised the rates from 81 bucks to 181 bucks for friday and saturday...had to go down the road when i heard that...i hit two blizzards between flag and ash fork...i saw the longest backed up traffic i have ever seen in the eastbound hwy 40...at least 20 miles of stopped traffic...not sure what caused it there was an overturned semi trailer in the median and a pick-up truck which had been destroyed from the drivers door to the tailgate...don't see how anyone could have survived that...anyhow waiting until 5pm in the library to see if the temps go down some more...

i watched mr vance lie with a straight face into the camera on a campaign speech from yesterday i think...mr trump is still a psychopath and dangerous to the world...he seems to be experiencing what might be called a "historical mirage"...

read a good short account of the thinking process in humans according to Evelina Fedorenko who said that her research indicates that thinking can be done without using the language part of the brain...this is exactly contrary to what noam chomsky and others said their studies indicated...all thinking is dependent on language...a very interesting change in this science...may have implications on language and reason in machines also...

"Distinction..."

good moon rising...a few days ago in the desert...keeps things in perspective....

I've been thinking about eros and thanatos...the life and death notions according to s. freud...he felt that  thanatos was the desire to return to an in-organic state....and the eros desire was aligned with the libido or sex drive or creativity....i think humans whether consciously or sub-consciously have these notions in their motivations or drives at all times...when i view the ancient earth and the surrounding celestial spheres i can better relate to my physical self  in this realm....the non-physical self is less readily recognizable in this world....how ever i think my attraction to new growth  relates to my increased awareness  of my own aging self...caducity is a good term to tidy it up some...

i think before too many people get whipped into a frenzy of deportation they had better take a look at who it is that is doing most of the storm clean-up around the nation...and most of the fall agricultural work not to mention the dairy labor,,,,etc, etc etc...as usual some folks will "make an inch of truth cover an acre of ground"...when you "have to invent a world to support a theory..." i do not think the USA has become a "garbage can" so much as a re-cycling center...hooray for re-cycling...

i see on the early news where the zoo in colo. springs is being sued by the non-human rights project...they say their elephants are suffering due to inadequate habitat...the zoo is on the side of a mountain in the rockies...they have bred a lot of giraffes there...but elephants are a good place to start including non-humans the so-called "rights' movement...

i watched  some good utube presentations....sabbatical was in the city in russia where many world leaders recently met to consider how they will challenge the so called "west"...he is headed to siberia...hope had his long underwear handy.."philosophize this" released a good latest chapter which shows that mr. west is hitting his stride...very well done...and he says his next effort will deal with "mysticism"...what ever that is...

some good music came my way in the form of "Muriel Anderson demonstrates her Doolin Harp-guitar for Peghead Nation" and "Mike Dawes live at Cedars Hall"...i had to look up who was singing a country song i think called "excuse me, i think you love me' a tip of the hat to women's empowerment...

well i need to take my pygmy pony over to the dental floss bushes today...

"The problem of the house..."

ants that look normal but seem to have an enhanced awareness of their surroundings
poop bucket though low tech keeps the environment livable
saw this as drove into town this morning....wasted water...
what could be the reason for this cleared round area surrounding these ocatillo

i like a helium ballon as much as the next person...but i find these escapes all the time

when i crouched next to the above ants there was a single ant that was timidly walking near the entrance to the ant-hole when it saw me (or sensed me) it hurried back to the entrance to the hole...there were 6 or 8 ants crowded in the entrance of the hole and they simultaneously moved backwards upon sensing my presence...it was a kind of behavior i would not expect from ants...i think all species of ants probably have different capacities of awareness of their surroundings....

i looked for the high temperature predicted for today and at 97 degrees decided that my old co-morbidity body was not likely to come through UN-damaged...so i packed up and headed into yumertonville...stopped first at the post office in little winterhaven...very small mostly agricultural workers...except there are two pot stores and a titty-bar withing a hundred yards ...an old guy came in to spew lies about his encounter with gov. walz in minn. and declare how pathetic a country we live in...of course i always wonder if these folks who have these complaints have a passport...then they can just leave...i wanted to remind these folks of the woman who was just released from prison after serving a two year sentence because her 12 year old daughter posted something online that was derogatory about the government...i think this was in china or some other asian authoritarian country...and here these folks have the freedom to criticize the federal government in a federal building...they don't know how good they have it...

then i went to the scratched and dented store...one dollar pints of hagen daz ice cream was more than i could resist...also got 64OZ of olive oil for 12 bucks... then to the thrift and 2 science mags for a buck then to the walk-in medical where i was prescribed 4 meds for my COPD and went to the pharmacy and got the meds for zero dollars and zero cents with insurance...what a rotten country i live in right!...then the laundry and now the thermometer  reads 101 degrees...not survivable by me...get a room from the india hostler and buy some veggies for diner...better to have less money and remain alive than risk death by heat...

noticing the increased popularity of nose rings in men and women...interesting how as the Indian sub-continent has more and more people moving here the nose ring trend increases...i think it originates in India....

read a great interview in "SUN" magazine with Clarissa Smith who researched on-line pornography and wrote a book about it...she claims the average amount of time spent on porn sites on pornhub is 9 minutes and 40 seconds....well i average more like 9 hours and 40 minutes...but i have concluded that along with alcohol, pot, and gambling i can add porn to my addictions...i have heard that certain people want me to be listed as a porn addict...for no other reason than they assume it will "shame" me...look i think it is a lot more shameful to stalk and harass a person than to look at porn...anyhow i don't know if they expect me to wear a large red "P" on my clothes so decent folks can shun me...i despise the hypocrisy of these holy rollers...

found a DVD of a 1930 movie "L'AGE D'OR" by L. Bunuel and salvadore dali...it is an absurdist movie i guess...it is certainly absurd...i also picked up a first season of "Black Sails" about pirates in 1715...there is a lot of violence and lot of sex and  a lot of violent sex and a lot of people who need a bath...a lot deception also...

there is a lot of talk about housing and the so called housing shortage is likely to only get worse...the government...any government seems unlikely to adequately address the unhoused in a manner that will satisfy anyone except the corrupted builders...i picked up a DVD called "Little Boxes" "the legacy of henry doelger"...this man built thousands of homes south of san francisco in the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's...really amazing achievement and a new concept in home building and what "sub-divisions" should contain...

"Authenticity..."

some of us need to do a reality check
this ant was about an inch long with much smaller room-mates just below a cow pie
this spider was under the same cow pie
this small stink bug looking creature was enjoying the last of the summer
two species of chipmunk which seemed to get along well
old fence,,,what do we still need to know of the "old" technology?

round or square we still need to work together

snow will probably fall within a few days at this elevation (7200 feet) so i am going to wander down to a lower elevation...spent $851 for new tires for the journey headed to the big sandy desert...again...some more...trade pine needles for sand...missed my blog therapy last week...i have read that "talking'" is a good therapeutic for schizophrenia and neurosis...either way i supplement my talking to the chipmunks the squirrels, the jays and the ravens with writing....with a more  or less satisfactory result....

i watched some elevating youtube presentations this week..."Breaking the Habitual Pattern" terrence mckenna (1989 one hour) this guy is very enthusiastic about psychedelics used as a tool to change...he also has a good lecture in 'most people see it too late"...also "the human ape" trenton holliday about 45 minutes...he also wrote a book about cro-magnun man...he teaches in new orleans...

ralph nader radio hour #553 should get you angry,,,nasty stuff,,,"The intertwined story of china and mexico in north america" is a good account of an aspect of history which is seldom brought up....the woman lecturer also points out that the japanese  were the first to export tequila hundreds of years ago...as the Chinese became more populous in mexico and the usa they became the "yellow peril" and were much abused..

i watched sabbatical tom in poland and russia...he likes poland a lot and is cautious in russia...he pointed out a unique "burger king" which reminded me of two chicken sandwiches i purchased last week in one of their stores...horrid horrid stuff!  "little chinese everywhere " yan has left the many husbands settlements and went to a higher elevation and has planned a lengthy trip to Mongolia etc...she looked especially happy after leaving the polygamous community and i could not help but wonder if one of the women there with several husbands might have shared one of them with her...just a thought...i think i may be experiencing "phantom limb" syndrome...after nearly two years with little testosterone nostalgia for a missing limb is possible i suppose....

i watched some good music also... the j.j. cale and leon russell in paradise studios was very good as i like both of these guys a lot...i think they are both from oklahoma...i came across a mention of claire chase who plays the contrabass flute...then i found Dai Fujicura (?) Glaicier for bass flute (international contemporary ensemble) which is very interesting...

every time i listen to the news it is overwhelmingly about extreme violence being done to some members of the human species...the species is not endangered but it is certainly endangering...i keep telling myself that i am not there and that is not me...and try not to become to distressed about humans inhumanity to humans

politics is reaching a crescendo in this country as the two candidates for the executive office seem to be about equal in support...the worst fights are always between two evenly matched opponents... i will not vote again as i fall into the category of "NO FIXED ADDRESS"...

i feel compelled to comment on some music which i read about in a popular periodical then I looked up on the internet...a fellow who goes by the moniker "savage 21" who was reported as "authentic" was one performer...ok...then i read about a tommy richman...both of these entertainers are hip hop artists...mr richman uses a lot of "hand jive" in his "million dollar baby' video...perhaps he could do like ms swift has done by putting the lyrics of her songs with her performance of them...i could use some explanations of what the various hand signals etc. mean...but the general "tune" if you could call it that seems to be very very much like what i was seeing 20 years ago in this genre of performance...but i perhaps am not qualified to speak about hip hop or opera as i do not listen to much of either....

some interesting things i heard or read recently...the interest that the usa pays on the national debt is now more than the military budget...columbus may have been a sephardic jew...fentanal deaths in persons over 65 years old has increased by 400% russian citizens are being gifted land in extreme eastern russia to homestead, tic tok is being sued for being too addictive to younger people, as many as 100 raccoons attacked a woman at her home after she feeds a few and others show up for the free grub ( i doubt that 100 raccoons exist in one spot ) jews make up 2.4% of the usa population but get 60% of the hate crimes, nobel prize winner warns against (some more) "thinking machines" or artificial intelligence...(listen if humans are incapable or unwilling to think about the hard reality of surviving on planet earth it might be useful to enlist the help of the objectivity of machines to come up with solutions) hotter summers and more dead people. stronger storms and more dead people (but! once again...human species are not endangered...yet....)

"Authenticity consists in having a true and lucid consciousness of the situation, in assuming the responsibilities and risks that it involves, in accepting it in pride or humiliation, sometimes in horror and hate." Jean Paul Sartre

"To be innocent..."

always liked this cartoon from the new yorker magazine...

where to begin...some years ago i was in an airport headed (i hoped) to a ship for a few days as an extra hand during a hurricane...i had recently purchased a nylon duffle bag to replace the heavy canvas one i usually used...when i put the bag on the conveyor belt to be subjected to electronic scrutiny the woman operating the equipment told me that the bag registered as having explosive material...either on or in it she did not say...i said i recently purchased the bag at a thrift store so i knew nothing of it's history...but i had never carried any explosives in it...i said we needed to call security and check it out...she said that was not necessary but i insisted as i realized she was just another crooked female running a scam...eventually i picked up my bag and headed to my flight....when i returned from this assignment i had my travel papers with me but went to where my apartment was and awaited another assignment...the papers were stamped with seven different travel orders complete with flight charges....someone was pilfering money from the budget by falsifying travel orders...some years before  i was in the Rainbow grocery in San Francisco  (supposedly the largest worker owned organic grocery in the world) a nice store which i frequented when i was in the town...i was standing in the middle of the store when suddenly a woman starts yelling something about a man who was molesting a child...there was this woman and there was this child and there was me...i suddenly realized the scam she was running and she started to laugh...obviously the child was not being harmed in any way but she had done her evil and was now headed to the door...i also left and encountered her still laughing in the parking lot...more recently (yesterday) i was buying a couple of money orders from the post office when when the woman who came in behind me... one of the dozens of women who keep me under constant surveillance  posted that i had bought some money orders...my financial situation is much scrutinized as there are those who think that my getting $110 a month in food stamps makes me a felon as certainly i have hidden wealth...so i have been burned from the east coast to the west coast and everywhere in between...this has been going on for so long that i realized that the number of corrupted people is enormous and should the opportunity to burn me present itself they will certainly not hesitate to do so...yep after more than thirty years of being burned you would think i had grown used to it...but one never does...

"Any system of religion..."

mr kennedy needs to resign his irish terrorist position...fair is fair
dr. hoffman founder of bicycle day on april 19th 1943
this small spider was under a log...smaller than a dime
i always get a thrill when i spot this type of flying insect...reminds me of a horror show creature

well i think the sacred union folks have gone way over the line by saying they do not want any automation which will make them get less money in their greedy pockets...they have no right to  push americans into worse conditions because they refuse to unload ships...to hell with them...same thing the mythic ned lud was supposed to have done ....except he smashed looms with a hammer to stop them from making cheaper cloth than was being made by home weavers...lud lost too...

i was thinking about ms streep who used her celebrity status to bring light to the afghan women whose plight is little better than it was a thousand years ago...USA taxpayers spent nearly a trillion dollars in Afghanistan and this is what they have to show for it...barbarity, stupidity and shame. there are some women who were able to leave the country and went to Scotland to get educated above the 6th grade...oh yeah, the Chinese spent a trillion bucks and built roads harbors and other things useful for many countries to increase their commerce...and! china has 20,000 miles of high speed rail...but wait! the USA has decided to spend 3 billion bucks to build high speed rail between southern california and LAS FRIGGIN VEGAS....WHAT THE HELL!....who comes up with these priorities...the mob!

well the big blow in the southeast USA seems to have once again left the population a bit under prepared....i cannot figure out how a person can look into a camera and say it rained like hell and in the next breath say...we have no water...i used to set out a tarp and collect 3 gallons of water a day from the daily rains in eastern Florida...i see theses places where the whole area is littered with building materials...wood, roofing, plumbing etc...and they just wait for the bulldozer to come and push it into piles and load it onto trucks and haul it to a very expensive landfill...deconstruction is a real occupation in some communities and they have warehouses filled up with good building materials....it should be a criminal act to not recycle...i have spent a fair amount of time in cedar key Florida and was interested to hear the old woman who is the mayor say that they needed to think about where they should rebuild the destroyed buildings....like don't rebuild the grocery store at the bottom of the hill...duh

watched some good youtube last week..."Are we enslaved to one side of the brain? The sickness of modern man" academy of sciences (23 min" also "Your mind is much older than you think" Genetic memory and Carl Jung....this may shed some light on the thinking of the middle eastern combatants....

some good music i encountered was Kris Kristopherson explaining how he came to write "Why me Lord" and singing the song with willie nelson et al...also i came across "The Tubes" live in san Fransisco 1983 (28 min) talk about  a wardrobe malfunction!  i also really like Tom T Hall's song "I miss a lot of trains" Iris dement also does a good job of covering the song so a womans view can also be presented... and his seldom heard song "America the ugly"...he has a few obscure songs like that...

i was wondering about my attraction to the female athletes thinking perhaps it is just soft porn as it was presented on slo mo you tube sites...but once when A. Schopenhauer was sick in bed he had a male attendant and he felt an attraction to him and questioned whether he might be a latent homosexual...but being Schopenhauer he put his considerable brain power on this thought and determined that it was the youth and vitality that he found attractive in his male attendant and i think the youth and vitality of these female athletes is inspiring...i was young and very physically fit for much of my life so i cannot regret that my present less than optimal physical state...should have inhaled less toxins for sure...
