"You can never get enough..."

snow on the suite van...but I have decamped to an inside room

awoke this morning about dawn and clicked on television...FOX news;Maria/Trump                                 the subtitles were on so I listened to N. Lane et.al and marveled at the fact that through                           modern technology I can be delighted and offended at the same time...I watched J.Biden                         address congress last night...I paid special attention to the number of men who were not                          wearing neck-ties....approximately zero...bad sign...in a rut...a serious rut...I was hoping that                       Ms. Harris was wearing a good pair of running shoes or climbing boots...but I could not see.                 the chief executive seemed to hit on many of the important issues...childcare ,education,                         minimum wage...all well and good but I am not sure if anyone in government has considered                 what is happening on this planet on a daily basis which if not changed will destroy our capacity            to exist...we are going to smother in our own garbage...we need a department of recycling and conservation...I heard that soon the weight of the plastic in the oceans will be greater than the                weight of the fish...THIS JUST IN! i am watching the BBC news and they have a story about                  investing in  vintage shoes...sneakers and basketball shoes mainly...not likely to make much of a             dent in the amount of garbage though...when a hurricane hit the U.S. gulf coast a while back                  I read about how many tons of garbage was sitting in piles waiting to be picked up...the price                  of lumber has tripled since last year...but a few days ago I looked in a dumpster at a construction             site and there was perfectly good lumber being trashed...most of the "litter" that I see is packaging          and most of that is plastic and most of this plastic is deteriorating and becoming a part of the soil          which will poison future generations...                                                                                                        so here are some recommendations I have for movies on DVDs..."The Wild Bunch" made in about        1969 directed by Sam Peckinpah...I dont think so! this movie is offensive...gratuitous violence...             they must have gotten a good deal on buying a bunch of fake blood...so many people being shot            that some of them are being killed several times...also there is cruelty to animals...a bridge breaks and     horses fall into the river...the scorpions in the ant pile is gross...and the movie is an insult to Mexicans as they are depicted as either stupid or cruel or both...however the acting and the actors are OK...the script is moronic...I did pick up a collection of Oscar Wilde movies and watched "The Picture of            Dorian Gray" from 1976 with John Gielgud...a good story with excellent actors...

and I feel compelled to comment on Mr. Scotts comments on what pres. Biden said last night....               Mr. Scotts rebuttal will go down in history along with Piyush Jindals as some  of the most ill thought        out comments and self serving aggrandizement ever to insult the american public..."Cotton to             Congress" indeed...

"Manu Ad Ferrum"

last blog was just deleted....so here is one that will more interesting

just to explain what has been happening in my life let me relate the origin of this laptop...bought from the ten-hand thrift store in lluma.
it has a back door so that it can be hacked...the thrift store is populated with lots of "volunteers" that have links to the clandestine forces which now seek to dominate this country...and lluma is the place where their population is thickest...and not for the public good.  when i was in a room at the el rauncho hot-ell this laptop was hacked  as I was transferring my photography...also my phone which I use was hacked and I got an emergency alert for an Amber Alert...in general everything I do is subject to scrutiny and harassment. And I will continue to document this activity...all I want is money now...If the government sees fit o allow this to happen then they can have a corrupted government...I want significant monetary damages for the harassment...and I intend to repay in kind the treatment I have endured for these decades..."conspiracy to commit computer intrusion" is a violation of the law...which is but a little infraction compared to what I encounter daily...my van has a transmitter...which I have sought to use to my advantage by giving a running commentary  as I drive...my computer, phone and even my snail mail is scrutinized unlawfully...I certainly do not expect anyone to pay me anything, but I do expect to be loud enough to be heard...damn the torpedos!  I am not contrite enough for these gangsters. (contrite from the latin meaning to grind down)                                                   errizona is home to a right wing faction which has infiltrated the military and law enforcement...the border patrol has been compromised as well as most of the government enforcement agencies..it does not bode well for the future of this country...I watch the whoopla about the conviction of one errant cop who was obviously so affected by PTSD that the casual killing of a suspect seemed not to register in his self preservation...the much more important reality is that the stage has been set for the violent confrontation of factions in this country who have been polarized by both the so called left and the so called right...and armed violence can not be far behind...and I am "Civiliter Mortus"

"Even if they give you the cow..."

a very sad encounter with a porcupine which has been stuck with quills in its face...

NEWS FLASH NEWS FLASH NEWS FLASH                                                                                              MISS MOO MISSING...Mr. Teatsqueezer has alerted the local authorities that his dairy cow               has jumped the fence and is now loose somewhere in the countryside..he has this to say                          "well this is not the first time Miss Moo has jumped the fence...she usually jumps the fence                     at least once every springtime...but she always stays pretty close to the farm...and Rupert, our                family dog has also disappeared and he usually stays pretty close to Miss Moo..they are good                  companions...Horace the hog has stayed pretty close to his feed trough as he usually does...                     When Miss Moo was lead out of the barn by Mr. Panza who has been here at the dairy for 30 years          she leapt away as soon as the rope was removed from her halter...Mr. Panza knew Miss Moos mother    and her grandmother and he has always found her after her seasonal escape...usually standing near         some of the neighbors milk cows or standing in the creek...                                                                            Mr. Panza had this to say..."Even if they give you the cow...you still have to hold the rope."

VERGANGENHEITSAUFARBEITUNG

THESE FOXES NEED WATER IN THE DESERT

just saw the temps today for where i am headed...33 degrees WOW been 100 degrees where i;ve been WOW...contrast is what makes things seem different...and stimulating...positive stimuli and negative stimuli...some people just need more stimuli to exist satisfactorily...some people exist well with bland    i have an acquaintance who said he had to seek counseling because he kept trading in his car to buy a new car because he loved that "new car smell"...far be it from me to criticize someone's source of stimulation...but that sort of behavior is not "the norm"...which brings me to a subject which is near and dear to my heart...mental illness...there is not a test to determine what is normal because is a           sort of mathematical ideal which only describes what is most common ...and actually there are laws which are based on the "community norms"... or what is normal for that community... when i lived in san francisco  what was normal would not pass muster in say alexandria, louisiana...although i know that some of the same activities which are common in san francisco are common in alexandria...now i think too often people think they are crazy because they take what they think too seriously...one of my favorite bits of advice is "DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU THINK"...which i have to remember daily...someone recently brought up the occurrence of "DELUSIONS"... i highly recommend that people read or listen to the audio book by oliver sacks called "HALLUCINATIONS" because he explains the differences between delusions and hallucinations and misperceptions and a whole lot of other mental states people encounter...if more people were more aware of the very wide mental states they would despair less of their own...I was reading an interview with Brian Wilson who was one of the driving forces of the musical group known as the "Beach Boys"  mr wilson said he has heard voices since he was a child,,,he just did not let these voices control his life and was very creative and productive...but he also was incapacitated due to mental states at times...the point being you do what you can and avoid things that make you unable to function in society...now the billionaire howard hughes submerged from society and eventually sort of became unable to function in a healthy manner and ended his days in a bad way.  all that money did not help him it hindered him ..you sort of need to make sure you are functioning in a reality based  world...which leads me to the current trend to legalize pot and other drugs...which will keep more people from being in jail but will allow more people to get high which will lead to more people having mental stability issues...i have a good DVD from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute which deals with bi-polar and manic depression disorders...the speaker is a Dr. Kay Redfield Jamison who researches these mental states...and she is also Bi Polar..her research indicated that these mental states are severely exacerbated by the use of drugs, sleep deprivation and stress...all of which a person can experience daily...she also says that these particular mental states can be inherited...so don't despair if you experience "mental dis-ease" there are ways to lessen the discomfort and proceed in life...and remember "DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU THINK"

"Men are qualified for civil liberty..."

this fox is standing in front of a 12 in ruler                                                         well i hate to admit it but i have hundreds of fox videos now and could not be sure whether I am seeing a kit fox or a swift fox...but i am astounded at how small these animals are...once when I went out of the van to see them shortly before sunrise I was startled because I thought I was looking at a house-cat...and not a very big house cat either...a couple of mornings ago there were several barking near the van an I suspected that they  needed something and sure enough the water dish was empty...     considering how many kangaroo rats I have caught on video with the new game camera I would thing that occasionally they would devour a few of these...and I have seen a new diurnal ground squirrel which I had not seen before...the round tailed ground squirrel...Citellus tereticaudus...which has no stripes...from the number of tracks and holes I see of the rodents I think there must be enough to support a sizeable population of carnivores...But I have never seen a snake...which would get a lot to eat....very few raptors but several shrikes (or butcher birds) which like to eat the lizards...i have found several dead lizards pinioned on a shrub where the shrikes apparently forgot where they left their meal.

i figured I would write my favorite Edmund Burke quote...which i may have written somewhere else already but it is worth repeating...pay attention...i have neutered it...

"People are qualified for civil liberty in exact proportion to their disposition to put chains on their own appetites; in proportion as their love of justice is above their rapacity; in proportion as their soundness and sobriety of understanding is above their vanity and presumption; in proportion as they are more disposed to listen to the councils of the wise and good in preference to the flattery of knaves. Society cannot exist unless a controlling power upon the will and appetite is placed somewhere; and the less  there is within, the more there must be without. It is ordained in the eternal constitution of things that people of intemperate habits cannot be free. Their passions must forge their fetters." Edmund Burke

so i would like to recommend a movie which I picked up a while back...it is "Algiers" with  Charles Boyer and Hedy Lamarr and Sigrid Gurie..from 1938...it is about a man who escapes...it will make you cry.

and also a CD which I picked up in Mississippi by gil scott heron called" I'm not from here"                   this recording is kind of unique in it's raw emotion...it may make you cry also

"Terrorism today is not a conventional enemy..."

about a year ago...when masks were a new thing

"Terrorism today is not a conventional enemy and has its own rules    of engagement. No territory to control, no economy to protect          or nurture, no citizens to whom it has obligations , nor does it have     an existence with the society of states, there is no institutional            relationship to states or super-national organizations, its hostility     might be self inspired by some ideological fervor, or externally generated in response to some action perhaps of ours or condition     of its constituency. In a sense it seems to me to have nothing to lose,"  Geoff Hoon- British Foriegn Policy Center

"It is a rare thing..."

probably a side blotched lizard...about 7 or 8 inches long

i was listening to the daily comments about bit-coin on the radio                                                               i heard the first purchase made with bit-coins was some pizzas                                                                 which were bought for 10 thousand bit coins...how odd that the value                                                      of these tools for commerce would have reached the value of over $50,000                                               but when you consider the price put on a piece of canvas with oil paint on it                                              at over $100,000,000 the whole concept of "value" becomes warped.....                                                    in the 18th century there were "Physiocrats" who believed agriculture was the                                        the standard by which things should be valued....there are people who are worth in excess of 150 billion dollars today...in 1866 Lew Wallace went to mexico to hunt on an estate which was described as 8,131,242 acres with 7000 peons owned by Carlos Sanchez...i read the difference between mexico and the USA is that these huge land grants which were awarded to people in favor in Spain allowed power to be concentrated in a few people and therefore a wealthy class ruled the impoverished many...I wonder if the mega rich people in the USA will eventually lead to a serf/ruler society here                      now a cubic foot of lead weighs about 708 pounds and a cubic foot of gold weighs about 1204 pounds     and neither one of them is good to eat...in other words a cantaloupe can keep you alive but                     gold cannot keep you alive...but I have heard that there is plenty of food to send to the starving             people in Yemen but no money with which to purchase it...so people starve to death...how odd               I do not think that history will be kind to the 20th century....

"It is a rare thing to find a combination of great means and of great conceptions in one mind." Colton
