".What is called eloquence..."

camera fell over but rat boy was not discouraged

big news in politics (politricks) george (i must have embellished) santos defies logic and assumes voters are as stupid as he is..."gay latino wealthy person"  and he can fly!...well i have been "nutted by reality" (thanks Nick) injected with testosterone stopping drug to slow up the cancer bugs...wasn't doing much with my "libido" anyhow...soooo...what we need is an "E" at the end of LGBTQ-E..for eunuchs...that overlooked segment of society that is too shy to bring it up...eunuchs need loving too...or not...the taliban have obviously deviated from reality by segregating women...what a bunch of nut cases...the Koran says something about the very high value of scholars...i dont think it says males only...and the government in Israel may get stupid too...so i was looking at my "Confidential Films of WW2" and there was a very interesting segment from May 1944 about this Sargent of the 9th air force service command who decided to invent devices to get the work done much more quickly....he invented a metal punch which made metal dies which used to take 16 hours and reduced it to one minute...and he made a device to reach into an aircraft engine compartment to remove a bolt and reduced the time from 20 minutes to 4 minutes...these are the unsung heroes in society...he got the Legion of Merit Medal for his efforts...

"What is called eloquence in the forum is commonly found to be rhetoric in the study."

"Pettifoggers in law..."

sunset yesterday...lots of birds headed for the lake in the evening

well i need to get a lawyer...yeah! that's what i need...it has been said however that "to go to the law is to trade a cow for a cat"...don't want to do that...in my DVD on values the prof. tells a story about a guy who is in a freak propane fire...it's bad...burns over 65% of his body..even his fingers are burned off and he is blind...he asks the doctors to kill him...but they will not...and he suffers unimaginable pain...eventually he recovers enough to go home...he goes to school and gets a degree in law...and he sues the doctors for going against his wishes...now recently there has been in the news story's about suicide...assisted and otherwise...and one fellow has PTSD so bad that he wants to die...now look...people are not on the verge of extinction...there is a good supply...too good...less people is more better...however since so many people view death as some sort of failure they figure alive is not just better than dead but to be dead is to fail...well ain't that just stupid...we is all going to die...get used to that idea...what is it now...8 billion people...whoa buddy we is a "successful" species... except that we is done fouled our nest so much that it is falling apart...with us in it...so go easy on the planet...think about a better way to conduct your life...pick up some trash and such as that...and the musk melon needs to get over his areology obsessions...

"Pettifoggers in law, and empires in medicine, whether their patients lose or save their property or their lives, take care to be, in either case, equally remunerated; they profit by both horns of the dilemma, and press defeat no less than success into their service. They hold, from time immemorial, the fee simple of a vast estate, subject to no alienation, diminution, revolution, or tax- the folly and ignorance of mankind." Colton

"Our dangers, as it seems to me..."

highly trained guard dogs on the alert !spotted while at the yard sale...don't mess with wiener dogs!

my blog just got deleted...which is not uncommon in the library...the library mafia wants to have last say on all that is written and viewed in the public library...needs to be monitored...the i usually get to listen to the commentary about my blogs as i write them...here in Yumertonville and especially in Wartsite...anyhow as i was saying before i was so rudely interrupted...i found 24 new DVD's in wartsite which is the nations capitol for capitalism...people selling stuff everywhere...new stuff used stuff clean stuff dirty stuff useful stuff and useless stuff...CAPITALISM! ya gotta love it!...one of the DVDs is a 6 minute promo for "12 girls band" a chinese group playing mostly 1500 year old traditional music on traditional instruments...and doing it very well....also finished watching about 8 episodes of "FARSCAPE"  A SCI-FI drama with most of the characters created by the Henson company(muppets) i rather liked the shows and think the blue woman was the hottest non-human since Ms Thingy...the other girls are sort of hot too...King Frog...not so much...

"Our dangers as it seems to me, are not from the outrageous, but from the conforming; not from those who rarely and under the lurid glare of obloquy upset our moral complaisance, or shock us with unaccustomed conduct, but from those, the mass of us, who take their tastes, like their shirts and their furniture from the limited patterns which market offers." "My health, I came to Casablanca for the waters..."

rabbits ate the rescued saguaro to death

frost on the ground from this morning
guess who did not get a raise for picking lettuce

when you shoot all the coyotes the rabbits get too plentiful and eat the cactus to death

temps around the freezing point in the desert last night

so i see these people working very fast when the lettuce is ready to pick...think about where your salad comes from....

well back in Wartsite...land of shady dealings and sunny skies...watched a movie called "Perfume" which was pretty disgusting all things considered...good production values but a bad concept...a child is born on the ground in a very disgusting place and survives...the mother is hanged...and so it goes... one implausible thing after another....in the end the child is a serial killer...and escapes the punishment and...well, dies a very implausible death...there is a very good article in the "Smithsonion" magazine from I believe august 2022...about the olfactory system in humans...very interesting...also watched "Casablanca" again...damn good movie...there is a very good line in which Louie the chief of police asks Rick why he came to Casablanca...and he says "My health, I came to Casablanca for the waters." and Louie says "What waters we are in a desert."       and Rick says "I was misinformed"...and so we are all misinformed....

"Nothing has changed..."

bird tracks in the desert sand

women in the news...ms cinnamon goes independent as an arizona  legislator..hopefully ahead of a lot of others leaving the two parties which seem to wallow around in the sty of dysfunction...ms griner is a very lucky person to have the kind of attention paid to her incarceration for a crime to which she pleaded guilty...the rest of the worlds armaments dealer (of which there are quite a few) should take a hint that they had better be attentive to whom they sell arms and for what purpose...unless you are the CIA of course which has the cloak of secrecy attached to their fiascos...it should be pointed out that russia has long sacrificed their citizens to "the cause"... in one of my DVDs on the second world war they interview allied troops who witnessed russian troops walking arm in arm over the mine fields to explode the mines...that sort of thinking has turned even their own people against the military...USA has a very different view of individuals as individuals and not "tools of the predominant faction"...peru has snatched up their president for "Permanent Moral Incapacity"...we need that law here...listening to professor Kai talk about an audit that was done at the department of defense...1600 auditors came to the conclusion that about 61% of the departments assets are unaccounted for...i see quite a few of their assets flying over the desert every day...i think some of the assets are hidden..(DARK)...i hear that russian and china political folks have decided that there needs to be a new world order and their form of government needs to be promoted...i dont think so!

so i have heard that the dixie chicks have changed their name to the "Chicks"...should be the "Texas Chicks"..has a better ring to it...i have couple of their music DVDs and i think they need to put out a music DVD of their current work...it's been 20 years now and i have heard that they have been through some relationship "issues" which always puts a bit of a patina on ones work...too much talent to be silent now...i only have one DVD of Ms. Swift and it is with Def Lepard and she is pretty young...but very talented also...i dont go to live concerts much but i would pay for a DVD of her performing her 10 hits on the charts...take that YE!

"There is no Frigate like a book..."

some books i am reading...both are difficult...but worth the effort

well i suppose it had to happen...i finally got a medical bill....over two hundred dollars...thats a lot for a person with my income...i was looking at the several "procedures" that i have had recently...i noticed that the two CT scans were priced at one thousand dollars and 12 thousand dollars...the only difference that i could see was that for the 12 thousand dollar one i had to drink two bottles of white paint stuff...thats about 5 thousand dollars a bottle...must have been pretty expensive paint...however i will pay the bill in installments...i have read many times that during the last years of a persons life they spend almost all their money on medical bills...serious bummer...i like having a few discretionary dollars in my wallet...so now i have to decide whether the cost and discomfort of treatment for prostate cancer will be worse than leaving the cancer untreated...it is a juggling act really...as the old body begins to...well, act old...you start to wonder if you leave the dental work undone will you suffer from that...before you die...and a quite a few other systems malfunctions that occur when the body ages....usually....i talked to a man yesterday at his yard sale who said he was 93 years old...he was in great shape and very lucid...had an active life of being a bush pilot in alaska...everyone ages differently i suppose...then there is the mental aspect to aging...i dont want to be a walking vegetable...i have heard a couple of people talk about people who flew to Switzerland and paid 10 thousand dollars for a doctor to euthanize them...no muss no fuss clean and tidy...why cant we have the government pay for "effecting our transmigration" in a way we approve of...it shouldn't cost more than a couple of bucks     i think i am going to morph from a particle to a wave when i am no longer a living body...and i have read a good article about turning human bodies into compost...but it cost 7 thousand  bucks...it should be free...no muss no fuss clean and tidy...

"There is no Frigate like a Book                                                                                                                    To take us lands away                                                                                                                                    Not any Coursers like a Page                                                                                                                         Of prancing Poetry-                                                                                                                                      This Traverse may the poorest take                                                                                                               Without oppress of Toll-                                                                                                                               How frugal is the Chariot                                                                                                                             That takes the human soul.   Emily Dickinson (1873)

"Never the spirit was born;..."

i do not accept that i should be cheated and say nothing about it

a while back i rented a room from a man who was so lacking in basic professionalism that i feel that i should bring it to the attention of others so that they are not also victims...first of all my receipt says i was in a room that i was not in...and although he had my identification in his hand he wrote the the wrong name...i was rented a room with no microwave and there were dead insects on the floor...the towels were nicely folded however...the manager was very abrupt and yelled that i could not complain...i was rented a sub-standard room for the full price by a rude crook...

"Never the spirit was born; the spirit shall cease to be never;                                                                        Never was time it was not; End and beginning are dreams                                                                          Birthless and deathless and changeless remaineth the spirit forever;                                                         Death hath not touched it at all, dead though the house of it seems!                                                          Who knoweth it exhaustsless, self-sustained,                                                                                             Immortal, indestructible, -shall such                                                                                                            Say, "I have killed a man, or caused to kill?"                                                                                               Nay, but as when one layeth                                                                                                                        His worn-out robes away,                                                                                                                             And, taking new ones, sayeth,                                                                                                                     "These will I wear today!"                                                                                                                           So putteth by the spirit                                                                                                                                 Lightly its garb of flesh                                                                                                                               And passeth to inherit                                                                                                                                  A residence afresh                              Bhagavad Gita

"A time will come..."

snoozing under the solar panels...until i woke him up...and he woke me up too!

big news in the news again...hobbit elected governor loser has lakey breaky heart...arizona borders on the edge of a vortex which has encouraged the delusionals to call it home...but it is a harsh unforgiving environment and the weak of reason soon succumb to a deadly dose of reality...once again the Israeli intelligence apparatus  has managed to sneak bugs into the lives of...well just about everyone...thanks to the NSO group...whatever that is...super cocaine cartel loses 30 tons of their product when Dubai criminals have their communications hacked...internet cops swoop down on child pornographer in the Philippines and rescue 3 children and arrest mother who was abusing them FOR $20!...of course the daily outrages on the Ukrainians make for a good news story but i am not at all sure that the human population has fully realized that the chances of stabilizing environmental degradation are just about zero...we be gonna' die...and it ain't gonna be pretty...but i am sure that a few humans will survive to lament the human era and welcome the new age of raccoons...SAVE THE GENE POOL!...watched some pretty good movies lately one being "KILL" (1968) a film by Kihachi Okamoto...it has english sub-titles...it is about the samuri and the yakuza...and the takes place a few hundred years ago i think...the main character used to be a samuri but quit as he thought they were dumb...he is called a "vagrant" now and is an honorable fellow...also i would like to recommend some music...namely a set by Bonnie Raitt with Allen Toussaint performing "What is Success" at the 2000 New Orleans jazz and heritage festival...it shows Ms. Raitt at her funky best and Mr. Toussaint tickles the ivories superbly . I heard an interview with Mr. Toussaint once and he said something that i found so shocking i almost don't want to repeat it...but i will...he said that he found garlic and onions so revolting he didn't even like to be in the same room with them...AND HIM A NEW ORLEANS NATIVE!...just goes to show you can't never tell.

"A time will come when a politician who has willfully made war and promoted international dissension will be as sure of the dock and much surer of the noose than a private homicide. It is not reasonable that those who gamble with mens lives should not stake their own." H.G. Wells (1921)

"I (your name here) do solemnly swear...."

vegan? potato! i dont think so!
cheap wieners with a little rodent hair! much better
life is good when you have a full belly...

wind's a blowin' and the sands a flyin' in the desert...neighbors still come around....

"I (your name here) do solemnly swear that i will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that i will bear true faith and allegiances to the same; that i take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that i will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which i am about to enter. So help me God."        this is the oath taken by any person elected or appointed to an office of honor or profit in the civil service or uniformed services EXCEPT FOR PRESIDENT OF THE USA

"To insure health..."

                                    kangaroo rat takes his chances

fresh water is a nice thing to have

not a big sports fan myself but i do not equate it with non-thinking persons...Niels Bohr who got the Nobel prize in physics also go a gold medal for soccer...and i think the Qatar officials have a right to ban alcohol from the games...but i think hash is more tolerated in some middle east countries and perhaps they should provide THC for the fans or khat....one mans meat etc. etc etc....I see where the Musk Melon has gone Bi-poller...most captains don't fire the crew and then set sail...i just watched "Mutiny on the Bounty" with Clark Gable and Charles Laughton (1935) and it was pretty good...i am glad that it was pointed out that the horrible captain Bligh was considered one of the best seamen to ever captain a vessel...the mutineers did not end up so well...too many murders in the news...but i picked up a good DVD lecture called "Understanding Non-verbal communications" by Prof. Mark G. Frank...he says that archeologist have determined that ancient males were victims of murder in about 30%  of the deaths...today the murder rate in New York city is about 0.0004% of the male deaths...pretty low by ancient standards...still seems like a lot of punks with guns to me...

"To insure health, a persons relation to Nature must come very near to a personal one; he must be conscious of a friendliness in her; when human friends fail or die, she must stand in the gap to them. I cannot conceive of any life which deserves the name, unless there is a certain tender relation to Nature. This it is which makes winter warm, and supplies society in the desert and wilderness. Unless Nature sympathizes with and speaks to us, as it were, the most fertile and blooming regions are barren and dreary"  Henry David Thoreau "Journal" January 1858

"The dogmas of the quiet past..."

                                                blood moon ...far away
                                          desert ants...up close

elections over...some observations about this are...no men running for governor of Oregon...i lived in that state for ten years and it is apparent that men are fast becoming second class citizens there...maybe third class...after listening to the news about the "JUST STOP OIL" protesters it occurs to me that  these people have directed their many energies in the wrong direction somewhat...sitting in the desert allows ones mind to unfold in many directions and explore many possibilities...perhaps a strong push to popularize cannibalism would kill two birds with one stone...so to speak...obviously human consumption of humans is not fatal as there is the story of the whale ship Essex which was sunk by a whale (go whales go!) and the survivors in the lifeboats resorted to cannibalism...at least one lifeboat did the other one ate sharks...also the infamous Donner party ate their fellows...it is interesting that only the men were eaten...go figure...so in "Getting Stoned With Savages" the author J. Maarten Troost goes to an island where there were some people who were known to have eaten humans and he asked them why they did it and they said it was because there were a lot of people but not much meat...logical answer...in some island society's that have long practiced cannibalism they refer to people as "LONG PIG"...this is not a good name to use to promote people eating as there are pig haters out there and you do not want to discourage them from the practice...i have decided that "HUMEAT" is a fine name and it can be promoted as "It tastes good and is environmentally sound!" can't beat that!

also i was listening to the representative from the island nation of the Seychelles...he was saying that the first world countries owe them a lot of money as they are responsible for the environmental problems...by the way they are also responsible for inventing computers, medicine and government and such as that...so i say we take all the Aldabra tortoises and give them luggage and rowboats...oh yeah and condoms...lots and lots of condoms...

"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must dis-enthrall ourselves, and then we shall save out country." Abraham Lincoln

"Where ever a man goes..."

not sure what this was that appeared over the arizona desert....it is unidentified and flying....

wind gusts to 40 miles per hour last night...the truck rocked and rolled...i was comfortably beneath the blanket in my bed (the bed of the truck that is) high temp today about 67 degrees...pretty nice for the desert...wind is moving the "dust" around...actually it is small sand...the usual stalkers sniffing around while i am in town today...you know i was asked once about "community" and i suppose whether i felt the need to "belong"...uh...no...not at all...i have been from here to there and back...i am very well acquainted with "community"....if i was seeking an elected office perhaps i would feel more compelled to belong...at least until election day...no i have never been in any "community" that i felt would not become a problem...but i do read a lot...and a lot of quotations and history and science and i feel very much like i am not isolated or a recluse...i was listening to a woman from england being interviewed about her foray into civil disobedience...she flung tomato "T soup on a painting and then glued her hands to something...she has a battle cry which is "JUST STOP OIL"...now that idea is sort of like that which a 25 year philosophy professor lectured about as he traveled the country...he thought that all use of animals by humans was wrong...food, pets, transportation...everything...both of those ideas are absurd...but they get a lot of press... i am afraid oil and animals are here for a long while...ms PLUMPER the anti-oil advocate asked what is more important art or people...well thats easy...ART IS MORE IMPORTANT!...despite the Musk Melons belief that we need more people in actual fact there is a surplus of people and a dearth of art...i have noticed recently that a lot of people who are interviewed feel compelled to disclose that they are Queer...which i think means that they have sex with people of the same gender as themselves...i have a hard time understanding why this is worthy of disclosing unless they are in bed under the sheets with a person...it seems to be a non-issue to me...but from the number of women who disclose this predilection i am beginning to think that the word is out  and men may be running a distant second place as a sex partner...admittedly women would be my first choice too...but enough of this lamenting the evolution of sex...there is a fellow named david buss who heads a research organization which studies "THE MATING HABITS OF HUMANS"...i viewed one of their DVD's and was impressed with the amount of information they have obtained and how much of it is not what one would expect...sex is a mystery and deserves the attention of the learned....i am dismayed to learn that a man who murdered 17 people will have his food, medical and clothing expenses paid for the rest of his life...at the tax-payers expense...the problem is that there is not CLOSURE for those of us in society who are traumatized by these violent acts...we had to wait decades for C. Manson to die...while our trauma festered...heard about the open air drug market which has developed in what is called "THE TENDERLOIN" in San Francisco...used to live in that part of that city...i lived across from from the largest trans-sexual/ transvestite bar in the world (allegedly) called "THE MOTHERLOAD"...it was a busy place...according to the news report most of the drug dealers are teenaged men from Honduras recruited bu a mexican cartel that operates out of oakland across the bay...very sad situation that these people are allowed to degrade a city as wonderful as san fransisco...also in the drug news...there the largest opium harvest ever in Afghanistan this year 6200 tons of opium which can be turned into about 300 tons of heroin...i highly recommend "The Accountants Story" by Roberto Escobar (yes brother of the Pablo) this book details how the money made in the drug trade is used to bribe those folks who are supposed to stop it...it ain't pretty...once again i would like to highlight "EMBODIED ENERGY"...think of a guy who gets up in the morning and has breakfast and goes to work as a brickmaker...the bricks are piled up to make a wall and the walls a house and the houses a village...each and every brick has embodied energy...so when a brick is knocked down and a wall and a house and a village...a lot of energy has been wasted...i heard this part of a Sumerian poem from about 4 thousand years ago which addresses the destruction of Lagash..."...because the men of Umma destroyed the bricks of Lagash he committed a sin against the city's God..."....time has taught humans very little...

"Wherever a man goes, men will pursue him and paw him with their dirty institutions, and, if they can constrain him to belong to their desperate odd fellows society." H.D. Thoreau

"We have forgotten..."

roundtail ground squirrel (Xeropsermophilus tereticaudus  is fond of vegitables

the rains must have driven the white-tailed antelope squirrels away   this species is the only one i have seen...i dont suppose the foxes have eaten all of them... a helicopter hovered over my truck in the middle of the night last night....the coyotes barked from 20 or 30 yards away before this happened...i barked back and they moved on...i dont suppose they turned me in to the border patrol...the desert temps have been pretty moderate the last few days...upper 70s in the day...lower 80s today...well the big news is that NAY! to YE...he has enough dough to retire from the bogus employment of FASHION DESIGN...what  a crock!...watched a good Hitchcock movie this week "Strangers on a Train" one of my favorites.(1951) Black and white...101 minutes....you will never get on a merry go round again!   re-watched a history documentary which is very good...a couple of hours long about the Songhi empire in africa around 1200 to 1300 CE...the richest man in the world was there and he was Mansa Musa...he went to Mecca and spent so much money in gold that he upset their economies for 10 years...he had a lot of gold...so i was listening about the drone attacks in Ukraine and thought about the fellow i met at a park in the desert who was flying this electric turbo jet remote control aircraft which was super fast...over a hundred miles per hour...i imagine it could disable a drone and it cost a couple hundred bucks...better than the million bucks a pop the russians pay for a missile...i hate to be an arms peddler...i think one person needs to be removed and that will handle the problem...got to go before they close the books store...

"Under capitalism..."

at least this swift fox survived the summer in the desert

after a summer in the ponderosa pine forest at 7 thousand feet i was knocked down by the 98 degree temps back in the desert...but waking a couple of hours before sun-up was a real uplifting experience...this fox was not very enthusiastic about banana peels and shriveled lettuce leaves...but i think the water was ok...even though there were pools of water in the road...not a lot of good news on the radio...but where i have been there were no hurricanes, tornados, floods...although more people die from heat related causes than all those other calamities combined....i knew if the temperature was above 100 degrees for two days in a row i would have problems...like i would become dead...two days ago the high temp was 83 degrees but then it was back up to the low 90s...today was 91 degrees....when i left the ponderosa pine forests a week ago the high temp was 65 degrees....i was too cold....my old bones were chilly so i headed south....

unfortunately, the madness in europe has left a lot of people without a way to keep warm...why don't we sent them some warm coats. and sweaters and long underwear...every  thrift store i shop at...and i shop at a lot...has a 50cent or dollar rack...i would think that there must be some folks who can organize a clothing drive for the freezing Ukrainians...

it occurs to me that the so called leadership in russia has failed to make decisions that will benefit the citizens of that country...as their current leader has pointed out there are eleven time zones in russia...there is plenty of land and no need to take someone else's land...same with chinese so called leadership...if they would let Taiwan exist they could save themselves and a lot of other people a lot of grief...their leader extols the need to be "uniform"...what a joke...they have inbred the pandas that they rent to the worlds zoo...they don't tell people that all the pandas that they breed in captivity are brother/sister matings...if they don't allow for diversity in their county they will have inbred people too...diversity is strength...

history has shown that militaries usually eliminate people but not really problems...i was reading in my book of ideas the definition of communism and socialism and Marxism...russia and china have way too many billionaires to qualify for being anything but autocracies with greedy leaders....i was thinking that a coalition of humans who have no political affiliations should begin organizing EARTHLINGS FOR EARTH...or  the EFE...and by whatever means necessary eliminate all leaders who are bad for the planet...this is it...this planet is where we humans have to live as well as all the other earthlings...i heard where vertebrate populations are reduced by 70%...of course that does not include humans...most of whom have backbones....

big news over in california...L.A. to be specific..."THE MONKEYBOY"...scandals...having worked with several species of primates i can say that there are prosimians, monkeys, baboons, great apes and probably some i have forgotten....so did this child look like a red faced Ukari...that would be...shall we say...worthy of comment...did this child look like a celebes crested macaque...the Celebes think they are direct descendants of these primates...anyhow feelings were hurt and power structures changed and life goes on in LaLa land....

i am glad to live in a capitalist country and still think yard sales, thrift stores, pawn shops and flea markets are a great way shop without too much guilt...

"God help that country..."

optimism is always the primary justification for its own existence.......anon.

sitting here watching television...showing people who want other people to cast a vote to put them into a job...a pretty well paying job i might add....this is how democracys work...the uninformed electing the uninformed...when kareem abdul-jabbar suggested that most people are not well informed enough to vote on many of the issues that are put on a ballot he was chastised and ridiculed...but for the same reason that flying a large modern plane requires computer input whereas a two seater pipercub did not government is so large and complex some of the operations need to be put on  autopilot...emergency voting to keep government financed due to inability of elected officials to agree on budget is a good indication of disfunction....i hear some of the candidates mentioning executive branch wanting pot criminals to be released from jail...thats all well and good except as pot becomes more available pot addiction will become more common and mental health issues will proliferate...i remember back in the early 1970s a poster became popular that showed a man with several images of his head melting and the caption 'STONED AGAIN" i think pot was one of the major components  in de-railing the hippy movement....Wavy Gravy's song     "I got stoned and missed it" is descriptive of the inevitable slackness that comes with pot use...i remember being told as a teenager that unlike alcohol i could not become addicted to pot...i became addicted to both...back in the 12th century there was a radical cult of Nizari muslins who were called the Assassins derived from the word "hashishin" meaning hashish eaters..they were rewarded with hash for doing assassinations...hash was eaten until tobacco became common when hash was mixed with tobacco....all the same THC the active ingredient...the reality is that THC can be a pretty addictive drug and causes behavioral problems in many people...it cannot be assumed that fewer people will be in jail if pot it legal...some people will break laws due to "cannabis use disorder"....which is a pretty broad term. ..anyhow we can't  take pot use too casually anymore than  we can take jailing people casually....after watching an hour of these candidates this morning i can say that there is much more heat than light being generated...

"When one is young..."

i did not see many roadrunners (Geoccyx californiaus) come to the waterbowl...but this one did

"UP AND OVER IN THE DOWN UNDER so this is the australia trip as i remember it

i packed everything back into the datsun station wagon (and a damn fine car it had been...bought near portland and then to wyoming, montana and then south to alabama)..and headed west out of alabama...stopped in red stick to see pappyjack...then to houston to get a visa and a plane ticket...the guy with the visa looked into my eyes and asked me if i was going to work or go to school...i answered in the negative...then he asked if i had two thousand dollars...i lied and said i did...i got the visa...i think for 6 months....the cheapest ticket was for january first and was round trip as they demand it and it have a one month turn-around and I had less than a  week till departure.., out of san francisco airport....down interstate 10 then south  on interstate 8 with my little car full of stuff for  the flea market...took interstate 8 to san diego since i knew the flea markets there better...sold the entire album collection and books for a bulk price and gave the rest to thrift stores...then north towards san fransisco to sell the car....I had worked for a month or two then quit my job to a go to a place i had always wanted to see...the land down under...sold the car in mountain view and took the bus to the airport....with my backpack probably too full but manageable...the flight was about 22 hours i think with a change of planes in Honolulu...where the jerk working in the coffeeshop sneezed into my cup...i went behind the counter and gave him the cup back and got my money back...then to cairns on the east coast where i was suffering from exhaustion...i got on a bus to townsville which in1994 when i was there was not very developed...and pretty and tropical...i got a breakfast which had about 4 pounds of meat of at least four kinds...none of it very tender...probably some kangaroo and maybe some camel and buffalo...none of it very tender...i talked to an older guy from london who i think said he was the newspaper seller for the town which i read later is a lucrative franchise to have...i said i hoped the town would not get too developed...he said he hoped it got real big because he said "hoped to make a few quid"...which i heard fr0m several business people...the population of australia at that time was less than 30 million...less than california...i found a hostel and lay down exhausted...i meet several interesting people...too interesting....and so the rest of the month will be equally interesting...then on the bus back to cairns and i am advised to buy a 30 day bus ticket...which i do...then i see a restaurant and go in and tell the guy in the lobby i would like some fish and chips as i have never had that dish before,,,although i have had plenty of bream fried and served on newspaper with french fries...it's a southern thing...the guy walks me out the door and points to a hole in the wall eatery two doors down and says.."mate, that place has the best fish and chips in town." and so i get an order to go since there is no seating. Then off to the bus and towards mount Isa, famous for rodeo and mining...i exit the bus and go to the mining museum. a couple of suspicious fellows take the self-guided tour with me...older guys...one says he is from england and the other says he is from switzerland,,,while we are walking around, they start discussing with one another the possibility of throwing me into a mine shaft...when someone talks about it they don't do it.  they are just a couple of goofs as far as i am concerned....then were are all off to a chinese restaurant...the owner is an elderly man who talks to us about his pearl diving days on the west coast...his grand-daughter is our server and the swiss guy says something rude and lewd...he is ignorant...then back onto to bus to Tennant creek and then south...we are in the "RED CENTRE" as they call the interior of this continent...the bus stops in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere...i awaken and get out of the bus to see a fellow standing next to a 20 foot canvas roll...i ask him what it is and he says its his "swag"...or his gear for the next 6 months on the sheep station where he is headed...he says kind of embarrassed that it is a "small" station only 50 thousand acres...or maybe hectares...anyhow it sounds big to me...i see another fellow standing near the bus and go over to talk to him...he says something that alarms me..."you have troubles mate, the cops think you are a drug dealer and the drug dealers think you are a cop"...i would certainly be the worlds poorest drug dealer...all i can do is be cautious...then back on the bus and toward alice springs...about the center of the continent...i disembark and take a walking tour of the town...i see a book shop and walk over to have a chat with the owner...i pull the only book i have remaining from my backpack...it is wrapped in plastic bags...it is a "Mammals of Australia" with hand colored  pictures...they guy seems interested and i sell it for $20...as i walk down the sidewalk a fellow stops me and asks me if i want to meet the owner of the bus line i am riding on,,,sure i'll bite...he introduces me to an older guy who says his last name and it is indeed the same as the bus line...i ask him if he has ever rode the buses in the USA...he winces and says he rode the bus from new york to miami...or something like that...i ask him how he liked it...he says it was horrid...these buses are large and roomy and clean and with  a large television mounted in the front...american buses...not so much...someone asks me if am going to visit Ayers rock (Uluru to the natives) I say it is sacred to the natives so i say i  do not care to desecrate it,,,but he truth is i am very short of cash and have no  credit at all and the rock is several hundred miles out of my way ...then on the bus and down to coober pedy...famous for opal mines and now the fact that the movie "RIDDICK" was filmed there...i disembark and find the underground hostel...it is the middle of the summer here and hot hot hot! up in the ground level a woman in a van asks me if i want to learn to use explosives...EXPLOSIVES!...whats to blow up un the middle of the desert?...she asks me if i want to go stay in a cave...A CAVE!...i decline...i have to be careful...to many nut cases...then back on the bus and down to Ballarat...famous for gold mining...i get a bed in a  hostel...half a dozen rough looking fellows check out when i check in...i put my folding knife in a place where i can get to it quick...and it is probably there to this day...then on to Adelaide where i get a room in a hostel  where there are a couple of young women who say they are from england and that they have been teaching english in japan...but they say they are broke...i find out that there is a casino in the old train station...i go to see it and itis very nice,,,when i try to enter the doorman says "no blue jeans" i point out that my jeans are green,,,he lets me in...i see a crowd of people standing around a large screen mounted on the wall...i cant see anything to bet on...then a well dressed many tosses a coin into the air...the game is called 'TWO UP"...betting on a coin toss!...i decline to bet...then i wander over to the craps table...i am thinking about making a 15 to 1 bet on an eleven roll...then suddenly an eleven is rolled...then another....and another...and another...whoa buddy!...something smells bad...i leave the casino wondering who has enough stroke to pull a stunt like that in a licensed casino...i return to the hostel and the english lasses are outside in the garden area...i tell them i tried to win them some money...they say i am "cheeky"...not heard much in the USA...then off to Melbourne...it seems to be a bit  thuggish  here...i get a room inthe largest hostel i have ever seen...a remodeled 7 story building....i get a bunk bed and in the middle of the night i feel someone shove my shoulder and i turn over to see several asian men standing over me and one of them sprays me in the face from an aerosol can....soon i feel kind of trippy...drugs in a can...nice invention...i dont sleep very well but i am glad to get on the bus towards Sydney...i go to "Kings Cross" area and check into a hostel...i check my cash and count the days i have to make it stretch...it dont look good...i check out the options...it looks like Katoomba in the blue mountains might be an option...but i decide to go to the cheapest hostel i can find and take the bus as close as i can get...i walk and walk and find a pile of ashes where the hostel used to be...big fires this year...i keep walking down the road and come to the bank of a river (the Nepean river i believe) i hear someone coming down the road and decide to stand behind a large tree...a couple of dirt bikes with dirty looking guys come speeding up to the rivers edge...they look around then leave back down the road...i don't want to go down the the way i came...i look at the river which is at least a hundred yards wide but looks pretty shallow...I hoist my backpack over my head and wade in... i'm knee deep then waist deep then chest deep...not much current...no sign of saltwater crocodiles...then i'm waist deep then knee deep then i step out onto the sandy bank...there are some homes nearby and i want to avoid them...i see a guy at a produce stand and walk up to talk to him and drip dry..he gives me a tomato and laments .that if he were in the USA he could make a lot of money...but not here...its a trade off...more people more problems...i walk down the road and a guy in a car stops to talk and says that the is an olympic facility being built nearby...i walk and walk and take train i think towards the blue mountains...i have to go to the parks office and get a permit...i am the first person they let into the park since the fires have stopped....i have a bag of muesli which tastes a lot like horse feed to me...and gives the jaw a workout...i have four 2 liter bottles of water ...i spot an apple tree in someones yard...it is close enough to the sidewalk that i can snatch a dozen apples...they are not very good,,,but affordable...then down down down into the park...nobody on the trail...after a couple of hours i step off the trail behind some large boulders and sit. against the rules i roll a cigarette and discretely have a smoke...soon a person walks by on the trail...interesting...i eventually take a seat near the trail and have an apple and a young fellow stops to talk...he says he is from denmark...whatever...he moves on...eventually a woman stops by and we chat...i dont remember where she is from but she says something about europe....i find a place to stretch my hammock and eat some muesli...i think it was meant to be cooked....my jaws are getting pretty powerful...i need get to the hostel in Katoomba and then to the train into Sydney and the airport...i wrap myself in the hammock...i have no tent...the biting flies are very very common all over this continent...and here too...the hammock protects me some...about dawn i awaken and look up to  see some movement overhead in the trees...suddenly it sounds like a train wreck or a chain saw or something mechanical and very loud...i am startled...then i see a tail of a bird...it is a lyre bird and i learn later that it is a superb lyre bird (Menura novaehollandiae) most remarkable...then i see some movement down the hill and squint to recognize wallabies....they are hopping onthe rocks...they are rock wallabies...i worked with them in the zoo business...very nice to see them outside a cage...the sun gets higher and i eat more muesil and apples...then i pack the gear and head towards to hostel...there is a small train that goes up and down the mountainside into the park...but i cannot afford it...as i am hiking a group of japanese people pass me going down hill...one of the men is a large man in a robe who shoves me off the trail...yakuza bastard...i make it back to the hostel without getting murdered to death...i figure i can bite someone's arm off by now  my jaws are so strong...i have enough money for one night at the hostel for a hot shower and a train ride to the airport...and ten bucks left over...i get to the hostel and am hanging out when a person tells me there is a $20 dollar exit fee to leave the country...what the hell! i ask what if i will not pay the exit fee,,,i am told i might get a red stamp in my passport which will not only make me persona non grata in australia AND perhaps other countries as well...i am screwed...as i am laying in my bunk i see a magazine under to empty bunk across from mine...i grab it an it is in perfect shape...and i saw the same magazine in the corner store a block away...i take the magazine to the store and ask them if they will buy it...they give me $10 bucks....YAHOO!...saved by porn...the next day i go to the airport and fly to los angeles...when i am getting my backpack there is a very strong smell of rotting fish...a mafia sign...i get my backpack and then go to the currency exchange...i have a two dollar australian coin...the woman says they do not exchange coins...i say it is all the money i have in the world...she gives me an dollar and some change...i head out to the line taxies...i ask a cabbie which way to san diego...it is February an i do not want to head north...the cabbie flings his door open and say get in...i say no...which way is san diego...he says out there to sepulveda blvd. and take a right, but you can't walk to san diego...i say maybe i can...and start walking  south....and more travels to seattle, alaska, mexico, and canada ,before the year is out...

"Nothing can be meaner than the anxiety..."

stellers   jay enjoys a mouse for lunch...

weather has changed today...colder and rainy...summer is over...has been a good summer....not so dry that we had to evacuate the forest...big improvement in the bathing department....bought a so called privacy tent at the yard sale for three bucks....can't figure out how to fold it into the shape needed to pack it into the bag that it came in...it fits in the truck anyhow...

so i have been watching a set of 5 documentary films about the second world war...one of the movies is called  "How Hitler Lost the War" and it is amazing how many bad mistakes he made...he could have won if he had not insisted on making all the decisions...i heard v. putin say that the russians were going to LIBERATE the ukranians...when hilter decided to invade russia he made the mistake of going to the Ukraine where the german troops were cheered and given a good welcome...they hated the russians because the russians had murdered and starved millions of ukrainians...then the germans sent in the storm tropers and they killed all the jews they could find and the communists and anyone else they did not like...serious mistake...then they took all the grain and sent it to germany and let the Ukrainians starve..so one more lie that Putin is telling is about the ukrainian love of the russians...it aint so and i think that hitler and putin are what the historian arnold toynbee would call "matchy matchy cray cray" or not....also one of the german fighter pilots said something that amazed me....he said he was not a Nazi because it was illegal for anyone in the military to be a member of a political party...who knew!

"Most humans have an almost infinite capacity..."

one of the many obsidian edged tools i have found at indian camp...

i see where there is a new head of the coconino forest...another woman...hopefully she will commandeer some workers to get the forest trimmed...a lot of rain this year and not enough grazers to keep the grass down...heard an "expert" say they would like to stop domestic animal grazing on a lot of the national forest...in some circles the "experts" say that the "silva grazing" is a good thing as it helps keep the burnable stuff from growing too much...i think the less fire the better...but i was in Kissimee prairie once in florida and they told me they had to burn every 18 months to keep the fires from burning up the gopher tortoises and such as that...forest management needs to be a priority or the damage will be catastrophic...feeling a little fatigued today as i was up in the middle of the night for the last two nights doing battle with the "RODENTS"...it sounded like maybe a cow had gotten under the truck it was so noisy...but when i shined my light into the engine compartment there was a rat sitting on the air filter...it was smaller than a capybara but bigger then a nutria...or so it seemed...to me.., durn their scurvy butts! i need to get several rat traps because the mouse traps ain't happening...

been keeping notes about whats in the news...while i was awake at one this morning i tuned in the BBC news and heard that yvon chouinard has bequeathed his 3 billion dollar business to the earth...or some such thing...this guy was a real mountain climber way back when...he built climbing gear with a forge he kept in his car...a volkswagon i think...and ate canned cat food they were so short of money...he probably does not eat cat food any more...also there was big news in australia...first human to be killed by a kangaroo since the 1930's...they did not say whether it was a great grey or a giant red but i have stood next to these large macropods and they sure seem like they can kick the stuffing out of you...plus they are pretty ugly up close...now the people locked up in jails and prisons in new york cannot be called inmates or prisoners but must be called "incarcerated individuals"...makes sense...nobody wants to be degraded in society...and it is obvious that this country has way too many people locked up...

i watched a DVD i picked up a while back called "Albino Alligator"...spoiler alert...there is no alligator albino or otherwise in this movie...it was supposed to be taking place in new orleans...but early in the movie they walk down some stairs into a bar which is in a basement...i don't think so...they dont even bury people underground in new orleans so a basement bar is not very likely...this story is about a crime that goes wrong...much as the movie goes wrong...the acting is as good as the script allows...which is not very good...there was a whiff of "Dog Day Afternoon"...actually more than a whiff...it reeked...also i had watched "Chinatown" just few days before so Ms Dunaway had a lot to live up too...i think when she introduced her "boy" to matt dillon he should have slapped her and she could have said "my son...my brother...my son...my brother..." it would have been a good nod to her other film...i will say that william fitchner was by far the best actor on the set and the most entertaining scene was when ATF agent Browning was being interviewed by the tv reporter Ferguson...that was quite funny...i did not like the ending too much either...

"The butterfly counts not the months..."

times have changed and our wildlife co-earthlings are endangered

4 more Galapagos tortoises found dead...that makes 18...being killed for the meat! i worked with Galapagos tortoises and Aldabra tortoises...very intriguing animals...been hearing about the people in mississippi not having any water to drink after the floods there...think CISTERN...the old cajun houses in the country used to have them...not many folks bother to secure their own water supply now...that is likely to change...there are companies that make devices that can suck up to 7 gallons of water a day out of the air...if it is pretty humid...yeah....ya gotta change your way of thinking to be much more self sufficient...start with some solar panels and work from there...no moving parts and no fuel needed...the "MAN IN THE HOLE" was found dead...this guy who lived in the amazon rain forest  in a hole died at about 60 years of age...completely self sufficient...they think he had prepared for his death as he was dressed in a lot of colorful feathers...i guess some birds died too...been hearing about the forest management that needs to get done before the fires burn everything up...now is seems to me that the chances of disaster and destruction is much more likely by way of forest fires than say...china dropping bombs on us...sooooo....maybe we could slide some of the department of de-fence money over to forest management and maybe water pipelines being built...just an idea...another Arabian woman imprisoned for bad mouthing the government...this one got about 45 years...what a crock...i read where martha stewart had 6 of her peacocks eaten by coyotes...in broad daylight...well yeah! coyotes are much smarter than peacocks...or peahens either...i heard a guy being interviewed about a book he wrote called "denial" about pursuing "CARBON CRIMINALS"...damn! what about those of us that spent years working in the petro-chemical industry so as to pay our bills...balderdash!...the oil industry is not responsible for the destruction of the world...if every internal combustion engine were to be eliminated tomorrow there would still be plenty of need for oil...why not bust the clothing industry that thrives on the ''FASHION PUMP" to suck the suckers into buying this years model...also i hear a mr amos brown talking about the "REPARATIONS" agenda which will pay some sort of guilt money to Blacks for them not being on a level playing field in the U.S.of A...what will we do for the Japanese, and Chinese (Chinese exclusion act), and the Sicilians and the Native Americans...."The other slavery: the uncovered story of indian enslavement in America" (2016) and lastly but of even more importance when will females be paid for the child rearing and cooking and cleaning that seems to be their duty to do for free...no reparations aint on my short list for coughing up dough...i heard that one hundred billion dollars was paid out to false claims in the covid business support scheme...thats a lot of tuition money! i am not an economist and i dont play one on television...but it seems to me that if you pay for someone to get a college degree they will make more money and therefor they will pay more income tax...some countries actually pay people to go to university...what a concept!

"What men value in this world..."

more interested in whether the fungi will eat me instead of the other way around...lots of rain 12inch ruler!

bad news this week in the foreign relations...putin showing his colors by cozying up to north korea...the bizarre sur-realistic laws in north korea are an Orwellian nightmare... a man was sentenced to death for smuggling "Squid Game" into the country and the buyer got life in prison and 2 watchers got 5 years of hard labor...whoa buddy!...i never watched the game myself...but thats too stupid even for putin...or not...might be some problems with italy as one of the strongest candidates in their political system is a woman who has been in the fascist party since she was 15 years old...yikes!...i contend that the next mussolini will be a woman...things ain't lookin' so jolly here in error-zona either...nit wits...armed nit wits at that...protesting at the FBI headquarters in feenix...i have been to the FBI a couple of times to have a chat with one of their folks...when you walk into the office there is a bulletproof window where they slide you a piece of paper which reads...'WHAT IS YOUR COMPLAINT...AND WHAT DO YOU WANT US TO DO ABOUT IT!"...not a lot of chit-chat...also i just heard on the radio that some journalist type said he has never encountered anyone as radically conservative  as the folks he as encountered in error-zona...i could have told them that...they should see whats going on in yumertonville...what with the army and the marine facilities there...i had an acquaintance who had done some international traveling and was "re-cruited" into the so-called intelligence community tell me that new orleans had more "covert" operatives per capita than any city in the USA...which is odd since it has long been considered the most corrupted city...maybe they go hand in hand...probably...i bet yumertonville has many more covert operatives per capita than anyplace besides maybe shanghi...which reminds me...everyone who can read should read "Legacy of Ashes" by tim weiner (2007/2008) several times...and it is probably on audio book too...no excuses...it is by far the most scary thing i have ever read...billions of taxpayer dollars wasted and worse than wasted the CIA efforts have turned much of the civilized world against us...look i don't mean to be a reverse snob...but it is obvious that the agency is inbred...RETARDED!...when i read "Ian Fleming" a biography by Andrew Lycett...and the intelligence work by the author of the james bond thrillers it occurred to me that the "tofts" who are part of the peerage are also inbred and these here upper-crusts are no better suited to do intelligence work than anyone and probably worse...these people need to read "The Compulsion to Confess" by theodor reik...i have had so many people confess to being "undercover" or expose someone else who WAS undercover that i think maybe it should be a fundamental part of  training...i was listening to the Inspector General of a special task force to investigate corruption in Afghanistan yesterday...he said they have recovered 4 billion bucks which was mis-appropriated so far...and get this, the USA is out of Afghanistan but in the last year $775 million dollars of taxpayers money has been spent there...that's a lot of college tuition!...I highly recommend a Rick Steves lecture about "Travel as a Political Act" which is very "eyes wide open" view of the USA as compared to the rest of the world...he is not anti american but he feels sorry that in europe they put people before business more often than not...also it might help people get a perspective of how russians view the world if they know that for every american killed fighting the nazis in WW2 the russians lost 80 soldiers and civilians..i had a russian woman tell me that americans don't realize how much the russians did for america...hopefully the russians will see that the militaristic future is a bad plan...hopefully americans will see it too!

"One should respect pubic opinion..."

some good information about weather and weed...and no i was not stoned when i copied this information

more rain in the last week than i have seen in this state in the last 5 years...better than the forests burning up...well got a call from my brother and he sent a text also...as well as an attachment which is a photograph of something too obscure to tell what it is...very suspicious...when i checked my phone mail they tell me the date and the time and the duration...AND THE NUMBER THE CALL WAS MADE FROM! golly gee whiz! my brother has a phone number from this state now...what a surprise...so now my phone has got a virus from the attachment and my blog is hacked and my mail is sometimes delivered half opened...does that happen to the UNITED STATES ATTORNEY do you suppose? this is the reality of my life...i am stalked everywhere...grocery store, library, motel...being in a box can be trying on ones nerves...actually the u.s attorneys are political appointments so they do whatever the politics tells them to do...and harassing me has been on the duty list for a long time...i am going to write a longish account of my life soon..before i get on the raft to the farther shore anyhow...and it will detail my experiences from australia, mexico, the Caribbean, alaska. and from san francisco to virginia to new orleans...it won't be pretty...watched a few movies last week... "Riddick...the name says it all...it was a bit of "patriarchal phallocentrism..." and the fact that both of the female co-stars were killed off in both his movies was a negative aspect of these movies...the expendable women syndrome in action...the action was usually exciting so it was not a bad movie experience but it could have been better...also i watched "Big Easy"  from 1986...filmed in new orleans but the accents were imported from new iberia...a rather outrageous oversight by the movies makers...the new orleans accents are much more like the bronx accents . i have seen plenty of movies about new york and los angeles and san francisco where they got the dialogues correct...why goof up the new orleans characters? i was amused that jim garrison played himself  as a judge in this movie...most people know him as the district attorney...he was replaced by harry connick...harry took all the boxes of files about the kennedy assassination and was going to send them to the dump before they were rescued... pappy jack said jim was a nut case but pappy jack spent his entire working life investigating organized crime...and he didn't like to talk too loud or bite the hand that feeds him...more about his quagmire later...

"We do not live an equal life, but one of contrasts and patchwork..."

robert service was a good poet and not always politically correct...which is very poetic....

more rain in the last week here in the pondorosa pine forests than i have ever seen...the so called extremes in weather events are becoming the new normal...everywhere...i have been watching a collection of DVD's that i bought about the vietnam war...23 hours worth...it does not tell the same story that i heard from most media back in the 60's and 70's...i would like to know how much money was spent on food clothing and medicine as well as building projects for the people of south vietnam by the US military...you hardly ever hear about the good things that the US government tried to do for the people of south vietnam...i also watched "Platoon" a movie by oliver stone which did not hardly show a good side to the military in vietnam...it sort of makes one wonder about the notion of americans being in a far away country doing battle with people in their own homeland...no easy answers...

the news is pretty interesting these days...biden had to disappear for 3 days after coming back from overseas...i imagine they kept him dosed him with Provigil which is probably the best stimulant in the world...but still will wreck you health if used too much...i suppose getting the oil flowing out of the middle east was the main objective of the trip...now i hear that raccoon dogs and foxes at the wet market in wu han china was the likely vector for covid..raccoon dogs are not legal in this country because thry reproduce so fast..now we have monkey virus to contend with...they want to rename it...i recommend MONKEY BUTT virus...has a nice ring to it....thought of a good name for a radical girl group..."DIXIE GYPSY SQUAWS"...has a nice ring to it...well 8 billion people on the planet in november...got to start eating "KHASHOGGI SAUSAGE"...has a nice ring to it...the new space telescope is turning out some good images now...i picked up a couple of DVD's about the Hubble space telescope...lectures by a very good lecturer professor david m myer of northwestern university...very informative...there was fellow named VESTO SLIPHER (1875-1969) who worked at the lowell telescope in flafstaff, az....he also talked about a guy named MILTON HUMASON (1891-1922) who used to haul supplies up to the mount wilson telescope with mules and a wagon...then he became a handyman, then a janitor, then a night assistant then a staff astronomer...he was especially good at long exposure photography of the sky...only goes to show if you are interested in something you can often find a way to participate...well haven't died yet so i guess i'll go back to the forest...still looking for a way to put all my photos online so people can download them...this being hacked and robbed every time i go to a library or get a motel room is a bad plan...
