the black marauder ants invaded and attacked the "big head red" and colony...overwhelmed but not defeated
i watched a good youtube presentation this week by peter watts who did hid Ph.D. work on the ecology of harbor seals...then he wrote science fiction then he investigated consciousness...his presentation was entitled "Conscious ants and human hives"...he talked about ants looking at themselves in a mirror and seeming to recognize themselves...among other things...
the reality of the "big head red" ants being attacked stems from my sprinkling pollen and cracker crumbs on the entrance hole to their colony which "unbalanced" the ecosystem...i read a good story in the scifi anthology called "The Proving Ground" by Alec Nevala-Lee...whoa buddy people have been upsetting the environmental balance for a long long time!
picked up a collection of story's on DVD called "Carnivalle"...which is pronounced car-na-val-eh...which i suppose makes their little mud show sound like a better circus than it is...this story takes place back in the 1930's during the so called "great depression"...everything was scarce apparently water especially so ...everyone needsa bath and their clothes stitched up...this is one of the most depressing shows i have ever seen...the only person who is always clean is the preacher and he is in cahoots with the devil...i can only watch about one of these segments a week... then i have to watch "Cuddle Buddies" to renew my faith in the human race...

Only for a moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Now don't hang on
Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
(All we are is dust in the wind)
Dust in the wind
(Everything is dust in the wind)
Everything is dust in the wind
(In the wind)
