 three of these squirrels visited me daily...i had to cover the food basket after breakfast every morning...

the stalker girl and her companion pulled up within 30 yards of where i spent the last 8 days -there are several of these felonious females who i encounter and recognize as stealers of intellectual property...

rain has begun on a daily basis...the cab of the truck makes a good place to practice the guitar and read and look at the DVDs and watch the lectures...i watched one again for the 4th or 5th time...the first time i fell asleep and I probably slept through half of the second viewing ...and this is a very good lecture to pay attention to and learn...it is entitled "Dopamine-Motivation, Salience and Learning- A Genetic Perspective" by Dr. Richard Palmiter (University of Washington)-from what I can tell the dopamine in our system is needed to allow the brain to learn and also to be motivated...even to eat...the lecture shows how mice which have their brain chemistry changed can be made to have no motivation even to eat...it seems that brain chemistry not only directs motivation but also prioritizes motivation...the reason my interest was more pronounced was i am very anxious to know what role testosterone plays in brain function and motivation...or lack thereof...

the news around the world as reported on the BBC and "The World" on the radio daily sounds like there are a lot of people who need to have their brain chemistry modified...i heard about a guy named sam altman who says that Artificial Intelligence (AI) needs to be watched so that it does not do harm to humans...now i don't want to sound stupid here but the human species has done just about all that can be done to screw up the planet on which they live...one of the things that has not been discussed much is the development of quantum computing which is a whole different level of computational power...many many times faster...i guess someone will figure out how to run the programs through a series of trials before they let the machines run things...they really can not do any worse that humans have done...when i hear someone ask about "intelligent life in the universe" i really don't think humans can be considered too much in that category...

well some hoochie coochie dancers in L.A got into a union and i hope this trend continues  so that these hard working people can get their fair share of income....I HATE A PIMP!...I watched a film called "Lost Highway" a few nights ago...(1997) 2 hrs and 25 minutes...the plot?...the plot...well the plot seems to be to get Patricia Arquette naked...and other than that the film just sort of goes along with some magic stuff and some violence stuff and a creative use of a glass topped table...Ms. Arquette plays two characters...a very attractive blond and a very attractive red head (i think) anyhow she has a couple of damp towels for "leading" men and the most memorable line in the film is when she looks at her lover and says "you killed him" and whamo...you know how this relationship is going to end...anyhow the film is creative if not very coherent...we dont need no stinking plot!

                                  a photograph i took of me a few days ago...
on the first day of my radiation treatment for prostate cancer a woman had me lower my mask so she could take a picture of my face...i thought it might be for comparisons of how the face changes after the treatment...but then i remembered how when i got the traffic ticket in eugene i was made to take a mug shot at the sheriffs headquarters...i was the only one that they required that for...later when i was working on the BP oil spill clean-up there was a sheriffs deputy who was driving around the beach showing people that mug shot and saying they were looking for this guy who is a "sex offender"...nice folks eh?...i did not know how corrupted the cops were but it seems that there is a cop mafia which likes to mess with people who talk about corruption...so maybe the picture that was taken of me in the YUMA REGEONAL CANCER CENTER  was for some nefarious purpose...i have lots of complaints about what happened to me during my treatment there...two things that i wrote got a lot of attention....one being the questioning of the cost of the CAT-scan....as far as i am concerned the place is an "ON-GOING CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE."....once the women who was operating the radiation machine decided to aim it at my pubic bone which resulted in extreme pain the next day...i told the oncologist and i heard she said she did it because it was "FUN"...another time when i went into the treatment room someone has sprayed what i think is buteric acid on the place where you lay down...the smell is awful but also it is the same smell that was put on me when i was being gang stalked in eugene (they also call it "swamping") this smell immediately elicits a "flight or fight" response and my hands start to shake...later they did it again but out of the aim of the camera which is in the room and is monitored in another room... the first thing that Hippocrates says in his medical advise is "FIRST DO NO HARM"...that is not something that these people have ever heard of...i have no idea whether the cancer is less or not after 44 radiation treatments....

I don't think the drones are such a bad idea...putin better get a good umbrella...been enjoying the nice weather and have had the great good fortune to have some nice neighbors visit ...two days ago as i sat on a bucket next to the solar panels i looked up and 30 yards away there stood a female pronghorn looking over her shoulder at me...i was pretty surprised....i try to not do things near the camp that animals find threatening...such as throwing rocks and being too loud...a Kaibab squirrel came around to have sip of water at the snow pile which was pretty big when i got there but by this morning was only three feet across and ten feet long...i scooped up some snow for the ice chest and imagine the pile  will all be gone by tomorrow... the chipmunks are still around but fewer...the stellers jays like to make a ruckus when they think they can get me to put out some food...which i usually do...i read in my bio-book about Eleonora Pimentel Fonseca (1758-1799) who was lady in waiting to Queen Maria Carolina...that is until ms Fonseca made a remark about the queens "intimacy" with Acton (probably lord Acton)...then the Queen had ms. fonseca hanged....damn! yeah better not to attend too closely to other peoples intimacy...

i picked up a trilogy of movies by Robert Rodriguez ($2) but i watched them in the opposite order of when they were made... the last one i watched is called "El Mariachi" 81 min. (1993) which is the first one that he made...i watched it again with his commentary and was amazed at how he made the film for $7000 dollars....and most of that was for film...he said he spent about $600 on stuff for the set and other costs...none of the "actors" were paid...he was so cheap he would not even buy a can of black spray paint to make the two guitar cases match...included in the "extras" was a film he made with his wife and three kids called "BEDHEAD" which is pretty funny....when i used to go to the N.O. film festival every year i used to only attend the "experimental shorts" because you could see 7 full days of films for $30 bucks...mr Rodriguez got some attention after "El Mariachi" and his films had big stars and not killings but carnage...i think he is creative but the violence and blood lust seems to take up too much of the film.

i feel compelled to make an additional statement about the theft of my writing and photography which has been going on for a lot of years...i intend to incorporate and copywrite my images and writing and seek funds for the work that i have done over the years....i, like Diogenes may like to have some nice pastries as i grow older...

big news in the news these days...north korean leader (who is God by the way) seems intent on protecting his country from imaginary foes...the country has not got a thing anyone wants and the poor starving population only have to look south to see their kinfolk getting fat and sassy...the south koreans enjoy the respect of the world due to their great business endeavors and entertainment and general good times...

just heard this morning that the state of mississippi has the lowest standard of living in the USA...but france has a lower one...go figure...

well i was reading about DIOGENES (412-323BCE) in my bio-book...it seems he was not always an ultra ascetic...he came to athens and was a "rake and a spendthrift" but decided to change his ways and got pretty frugal...then he somehow got himself kidnapped and sold to a fellow named Xeniader of Corinth where he ended up tutoring the guys kids and became a member of the household and lived to be 89 years old...so i remembered that Prof. John Hale had a tour of Corinth and watched his DVD and the Prof. said that "Corinth had an extraordinary reputation among the Greeks. It was a city of Aphrodite, "GODDESS OF LOVE".. It was believed to be a city of unimaginable luxury, and of  sexual license. Even the pastries were considered to be the best in the Greek world."...WOW! i rather imagine that old Diogenes sort of backed off the ascetic thing a little when he got to Corinth...or not..

i found a good deal on marked down food in the grocery so i ended up eating 2 pounds of bacon in 4 days...with all the snow still around in the woods i can just shovel snow into the ice chest and have cold water and cool produce and meat all week...

after 10 days in the same spot the Kaibab squirrels became friendly enough that they would climb into tree and watch me in the cab of the truck and the dark eyed juncos land on the hood of the truck with a beak full of grass as they remind me that it is nest time in the forest...robins, a friendly raven, and a few other birds began coming into the campsite recently...i set up the game camera at the compost pile and got a video of the ears of a squirrel...camera placement is crucial...

\i watched a movie called "THE OUTLAWS" from 1943 produced and directed by Howard Hughes...the aviator, millionaire, eccentric...this is probably one of the best westerns i have seen...it stars Jane Russel( Rio) , Jack Buetel ( Billy the Kid) Walter Huston (Doc Holliday) and Thomas Mitchell (sheriff) there are always comments on Ms. Russels big breasts but her acting is superb and her smoldering pout excellent...Buetel does the best Billy the Kid ever and Walter Huston is great as Doc Holliday...the scenery is good and the ending is a pleasant surprise...

 this video is of a kangaroo rat...it was taken near peach springs arizona at 4200 feet  I am not sure of the species...but they prefer raw peanuts to raisins...

i was staggering around in the heat after the temps reached 98 degrees so it was so long yuma...hello Flagstaff....arose at 3 in the morning and packed up the truck went into town and paid the bills for the month and headed north...got as far as the BLM camping north of Quartzite and thought it would be a good idea to park in the shade of a small tree and wait until midnight to continue north...the next day was supposed to be record heat 100 degrees plus...i sat in the shade and read for an hour then just before dark i decided it would be a good idea to turn the truck around so all i had to do was crank it up and drive out...BUT! fate had a different idea...as i turned the truck around i suddenly began to spin the tires...and I WAS STUCK...after only three hours of me laying on my belly and shoving my shovel under the cinder block (where the hell did that come from!) and digging my tires out i managed to drive out of the two holes i had dug...i was on my way again by 10pm and just about exhausted...but at around 12:30  pulled into the rest area east of lake-have-a-shoot city and passed out in the drivers seat until 6 am... a little later i pulled into a terrible gas store got gas and the elixir of  tiredness a free cup of coffee with gas purchase...by the time i got to the BLM/wildlife and fisheries legal camp spot i was ready for more snoozing...except i had to unpack the truck..

i watched a DVD a few nights ago called "LOLA"  from 1970 the original title was " Twinky" on the DVD cover charles bronson is named but not the female lead a miss susan george was every bit as talented as mr bronson despite being cast as a 16 year old lover/wife of the 39 year old Scott (bronson) there were only two memorable lines in the movie which was shot in london and new york...ms lola is a young 16 and mr scott os an old 39...when the english family meet their daughters new husband the father says there are 4 things he does not like about lolas new husband...he is old and he is ugly...i forget the other two...and when the couple move from london to new york and the fire is begining to dim somewhat in the relationship ms lola tells scott about something she and her girlfriends are going to do and scott says...."THATS ADOLESENT!....and she says...I AM AN ADOLESENT!"

this movie was interesting but not very entertaining...bronson goes on to more movies and ms susan george continues i would presume as a talented actress...my apologies for the previous mistakes about the identity of "lola" it would have  been easy for me to have fact checked it....sorry

 after 89 days out of the desert i was glad to see the fox remains in the area...and really likes a drink...the times and dates for the stealth camera are not correct...

spent easter in the desert only 93 degrees hot which after so many 60 and 70 degree days it seemed like I would begin to fail after a week of this heat...old and fat is not a good match for the desert...i have decided that the main reason for obesity is refrigerators... i mean the damned things are just too convenient...the ice chest was not as much of a temptation...and also no ice...lots of ramen noodles, cans of beans and crackers...

i was not sure which species would be around but the round-tailed ground squirrels are still in the old spot...i saw what looked like a white one yesterday but the sun was so bright that i could not be sure...this is the spot here i photographed the hybrid round-tail and antelope squirrel...the merriams kangaroo rats remain...i didn't see any antelope squirrels so they must have sought better feeding grounds... the pair of ravens (I think they mate for life) came around after i yelled to them to let them know i remembered them...a trio of turkey vultures came in close yesterday and when i crawled out of  the sleeping spot at 4 AM this morning i could hear an owl vocalizing from a nearby tree or bush...and the lizards are liking the hot weather and are more active...all things considered the desert is much more conducive to thoughtfulness than being inside...but i did get some things done while i had access to so many electrical outlets...but the solar panels do a great job of keeping the batteries charged...

my 89 days in the rental trailer and the 44 radiation treatments were so fraught with criminality that i don't entertain much hope of surviving cancer or getting my $300 deposit returned....the best way to view this is to be glad that i am not the one who is perpetrating the crimes...more of which later

lots of news about the Tennessee legislature being bull-horned...i wonder if people realize that when A. Hitler in Germany addressed the assembled governing body to ask them to allow him to have just 4 years of "unrestricted" power he had a lot of the Brown Shirts among the legislators to intimidate them into voting the way Hitler wanted (i think there is extant film)  intimidation by thugs or bullhorns is never acceptable... there is a little book called "ROBERTS RULES OF ORDER" which is neither rare nor expensive and most of the civilized people use this as a guide on how to have an orderly meeting...mob rule  in the legislature is not appropriate...but of course the race card makes it all OK! the Justin Jokers should be made to take a test on protocol...but more importantly what was the law that these people were trying to draft...no guns? less guns? more training? the reality is of course no law will stop "mass shootings" but less guns might make for less shootings...but when a person wants to run amok...they going to do it...i think perhaps a law making people who want assault weapons belong to a "well regulated militia" which may dissuade a person from going ballistic due to peer pressure...and the militia people could alert the proper authorities in the event that one of their members needs to be red flagged...otherwise the number of shootings will remain high and the general population will all be at risk of being murdered to death...randomly...
