i came out of the truck and saw a squirrel with a mouse trap on its leg...i threw a towel on it and removed the trap and it scurried up a tree...i found it the next day curled next to my propane cook stove inside the sheet metal cylinder i use to stop the wind,,,i wanted to cry...but i did not ..and now put up the mouse traps until night time...caught two mice last night...the raven loves the mice...i hope he finds the squirrel too...

i listened to some good music last week...upon perusing the T. Swift recent offering i heard some good percussion on a track with "Florence(welch)and the Machine"...so i looked up this musical group...came across a tune called "Which Witch" which i was very impressed with...the bass drums and the vocals make this tune seem more like an incantation...i also came across a list of best albums for 2023 in "The Economist" magazine...one of the suggestions was Roisin Murphy...pretty good stuff...i went to all of the offerings...about a dozen...mostly females and i was struck by the extent to which these women embrace "THRENODY"...(look it up)...i also saw a utube offering of neil young who played in san diego last week and someone bootlegged it...the old man still has the vocal and guitar chops...and much to my delight he was dressed in his very down to earth clothes...does my heart good to see no pretense
i heard that washington state wants to release more grizzly bears in the upper cascades...i think they are going to call it the Hugh Glass Initiative
also i heard about some papyrus that were dug up in pompei and finally deciphered...someone had written an account of Platos last moments alive...which apparently were spent with a "flute-girl" whom he was criticizing for her lack of musicality...well actually flute-girls were at a lot of the male gatherings in those days and they did more than "play the flute"...maybe Plato went out the hard way...
ralph nader put out a segment called "Catastrophic Mismanagement of U.S. Security Policy" someone is lying...big time...i also utubed "the Jakarta method" which is an account of how over a million so called "leftists" were murdered with the help of the USA...i wonder if it will ever get to where this country will try to kill off the ardent protesters on university campuses...maybe...maybe...
